2B || !2B - Why don't you look Inside the Machine?

Well I was just browsing Bungie.net and some other websites. I noticed that with graphically intense pages that the pages break here and there (like lag). I know there is a way to combat this. Usually by turning down the resolution I can solve the problem.

Even though I could switch to IE to save the day I was thinking about other users with more severe problems.

Would it be possible to have a plain HTML style view of the forums. Just like collapsible links or something? That or a less intensive version, kinda like Bungie.net Lite? I think this would be a nice for people who have problems viewing B.net due to the graphics intensive pages.

Thoughts, Comment?

Meh, would it be possible to get faster Internet? lol i guess it would be nice if you had an option setting in your profile that gives you the option to view the site in HTML or in ...what it is now.

Good to see at least somebody takes this place seriously

I am sincerely disappointed in everyone except JIMH. JIMH, have a gold star.

I would like to have a "Diet Bungie.net". It would take off all of the avatars, sigs, botton graphics, etc. from the forums, and have the colors turned to plain black and white. The site is pretty clean looking now, but I would want an even cleaner, simpler version.

If you don't got it, you want it. If you got it, you want more of it. Of course if you don't know what it is, it's hard to get any in the first place.

Something easily browsed from a Cell Phone, PSP, DS, Blackberry, iPhone, Wii, or PS3 would be delightful.

There is a "diet Bungie" that automatically runs when your trying to get on B.net on a horrible computer, except there's no "submit" buttons for posts and stuff.

So it's pointless. :/

Is there any way to get it with a good/average computer?

I have Cable Internet for who ever said to get a better ISP. However I would just like to see a nice Lite version so that I could browse easier on older computers. Some people don't always have the option of having the best or a decent computer, ISP, etc. Some of us can't afford that because we have a family, an education, bills, etc.

Here is an example of what a Forum -> Thread structure would look like...sorta.

[The Underground]
[The Septagon]
[Halo 3 Forum]
[New Mombasa]
[Optimatch]
[The Maw]
[The Library]
[The Gallery]
[The News]
[Voting Booth]
[The Classifieds]
[The Flood]

Now these would all be links in standard HTML format. If you click on, let's say, [The Septagon] you would see the Forum like this:

[Thread 1]
[Thread 2]
[Thread 3]

etc...

Those would be the individual threads in the Septagon. Locked threads could have a slash through them. Pinned threads could have an asterisk next to them.

Now say you click on [Thread 1], this is what you would see:

[Thread Title]
[Posted by: User]

[Content in the Thread, etc.]

Now if anyone replied it could look like this:

[Thread Title]
[Posted by: User]

[Content in the Thread, etc.]

[Reply from: User_Name]
-[Reply from: User_Name]

etc...keeping the spacing convention going to give an order to the replies. The replies would be links. You could click on them to view the users post in this format:

[Thread Title]
[Reply by: User_Name]

Any thoughts on this?

That would be very Old School Bungie. How hard would it be for Bungie to do that?

aghhh dont quote that whole thing!!!

anyways...
Its a good idea because every now and then my internet and computer will take a -blam!- and most of the options turn into red x's.
It really gets annoying.

You missed the point like Vader missed the banshee, your whole argument is covered in bees.
Stop sending me group invites -blam!-s!

You could always get IE tab for FireFox it renders pages in Internet explorer for sites that don't load correctly.
