Mods do not delete for one simple reason; lessons can be gained through seeing and reading the threads. If you believe that the optimatch is bad, you honestly do not pay attention to the Underground. It is the same way, and thus we must deal with it. Wait....didn't we just have a discussion about this last week? Or am I going crazy....again...

Edit* I am indeed correct, here is the thread. If you wish, you may still probably add your opinion to this thread, even though the original poster is blacklisted.

TRANSLATION:
Every day there's at least one person that, for whatever reason, posts something unrelated in the Optimatch Forum. You can check the Optimatch Forums now, and you'll find at least one locked/ unrelated topic. Of course, moderators lock them, but then the topics that are actually relative to the forum gets pushed to the bottom, making it unfair and harder to access.

My suggestion is to delete, not lock, unrelated threads created in the Optimatch Forums.

Thanks for your time.

I hate to be blunt beaver, but you do not have to be an smartass just because of someones spelling. If you are going to be so rude you should just leave. Why even post? If you are going to criticize them, don't post; if you are going to make fun of someone that either does not feel like typing or does not type very well, again, don't post. Everybody here is so damn critical for spelling, who cares!?!?!? As long as it is readable it is perfectly fine, as I said to someone else; at leest h3z nt tlkn lk dis. So please, if you do not have something nice to say; nor have anything to contribute to the conversation, please, don't post. It is just spam and flames, is all it is. Again, sorry for being so blunt.

I say delete the threads. All the mods need to do is PM the OP and tell them why their thread(s) was deleted.

Don't be so naive, man.
He was typing that way intentionally. Don't you find it odd that he spelled 'related' correctly, yet me managed to misspell 'unrelated' the exact same way twice?

Also...grow a spine. If you're going to disagree with someone don't be so mousy about it. Also, if you expect to have any impact whatsoever you need to approach me with valid points. Surely you don't expect that telling me "just don't post" six times will do the trick.
How you post is every bit as important as the content of your post.
It's a fact.

Beaver has a point. Granted I don't entirely agree that BestSpartan was typing that way intentionally, albeit poorly, perhaps he was just simply being lazy!! Either way, M3 you were a bit naive. You see, "smart ass" comments, such as the one made by Beaver about King James' version of text, ultimately prove a point in a more abrupt manner.

I've seen Beaver around here and there before, and hardly ever does he post things just for the sake of posting and being obnoxious. He's trying to help people out, and if you don't believe me -- ask him. He has good intentions I'm sure.

Indeed, that is a fact.

He was typing that way intentionally. Don't you find it odd that he spelled 'related' correctly, yet me managed to misspell 'unrelated' the exact same way twice?

I still do not agree that you are able to insult him over his post. You do not know that he was typing that way intentionally. Sometimes even I accidentally spell a word correct once then incorrect again, it is a common mistake, it doesn't matter the look of the post, it matters about the content of the post.
Also, if you expect to have any impact whatsoever you need to approach me with valid points.
I have, and I did, post valid points. Just because we are in disagreement, does not mean my points are not valid. So you are literally expecting me to insult you direct? I honestly do not see the point in a debate if one were to directly insult someone else, can this community not understand that debates do not have to deal with insults? Let alone arguments. I was not trying to insult you, I was trying to make a point; I was not trying to start and argument, I was standing up for what I believe is right, insulting someone just because of their spelling is wrong in my opinion. It is probably one of the lowest things one can really do on the internet; is insult someone about their spelling just because they can. You don't know if he can type, you don't even know if he speaks english as a primary language, at first, you were just assuming that he is an idiot and insulted him.

Well instead, lets just have a full page of locked threads and let the good ones fall behind to page 2. Sounds much better.

As long as we're going to be irrational, why don't we just execute the offending posters? That sounds much better.

I don't understand how that justifies an insult, since it is no more difficult to prove said point in a civil manner.

He's trying to help people out, and if you don't believe me -- ask him. He has good intentions I'm sure.

Helping people improve themselves by directly insulting them?

But then topics that ARE RELATED get to the bootom of the forum making it unfair.

If people are interested in said topics, wouldn't it be easy to go back one page and find them? If a topic is forced onto the next page, you can still post in it. I never said, or implied, that I wanted you to insult me directly. I never even used the word 'insult'. I said disagree.
What you consider to be 'low' does not concern me in the least. Furthermore I never insulted him. I simply made an observation that if he read as poorly as he typed, the King James version of the Bible would be very difficult for him to read.
The fact that you misunderstood is not my problem.

Why not simply post in the the threads you wish to see back on the front page? As long as you post a valid point, no-one will mind the minor bump.

average joe bungie doesnt do this, you and i both know this.

let me ask you this: what does having locked threads on the front page do to promote discussion?

They obviously do not work as a warning to those wishing to flout the rules, otherwise there wouldn't be reams of threads locked every day.

Seriously?

I was actually under the impression that the average Bungie.net user had the intelligence equal to that of a cow that was trained to type (very poorly).
