It seems to me that the game is slowed down a bit.

I want to know if its actually that slow or is it slowed down for gameplay or something else.

For example:
1.You jump and u dun fall like u have a very heavy suit(i remember halo has the same gravity as earth)
2. The plasma shots seems to be slow(Is it suppose to be like that?)
3. Rockets travel slow
4. Banshees seem to travel slow(Even with the boost in halo 2)
5. Sniper trails seem to stay too long(If its in real life i think anyone could spot it and i don't think thats the purpose of snipers, again that could be because for gameplay)
6. Master Chief moves a bit slow(For a enchanced human with a very cool armor)

I could only think of these.

I think its slow because if it was in normal speed it'll be too quick.
Or its because Spartans have quicker reflex then humans so the game was made to be slowed down a bit.
And of course could be because of gameplay.

So what do you think?

If you feel this is a useless thread please do not flame with harsh words.
(I used the search option and found nothing about the game being slow, just people who want bullet time)

Thankyou for reading the whole post. If there is something you don't understand in my post due to maybe grammer or spelling problem please tell me. (Please reply even if its a useless thread and just say useless thread or something, unless someone has said that.)

EDIT: If this is in the wrong forum please tell me which forum i should post at.

If you're talking about Combat Evolved, this is the right place for it.

You're absolutely right, though. Compared to other games like Quake, Unreal Rournament, or Counter-Strike, Halo has the pace of a snail on ritalin. Some people consider it agonizingly slow compared to what they play.

By the way, the thread wasn't useless, but the poll sure as hell was.

After playing a bit of BF2: MC, I found the running speed in the Halo games agonisingly slow. But you get used to it after a while.

Just found a bit of proof(I think) that the game is slowed down.

In the book Halo:First Strike PG 268 Linda was assembling(Spelling problem?) a SRS99C(The one in halo 1,halo 2 i think)
And in PG 318 MC tries to spot where Linda is after she sniped. I believe MC should be able to see the gas trail.(Unless there is no trail in space?)
(If I remember correctly the trails are gas trails due to the gas-operated snipers)
Need confirmation.

If that is the case, then I kinda get why bungie made it slower, so that people could see the gas trails and have a quicker reflex on things.(Like the Spartans?)
Looks like I can at last have a nice reply to my friends on why Halo seems slow.

Thanks for the replys.
