Do not panic, or you will fail.

Members cannot select custom avatars; it would consume bandwidth like a T-Rex in a Doritos factory. If I'm not mistaken, Moderators and other enforcement personell are allowed to have their own custom icons.

That is correct, moderators, theme masters, and bungie employees have the ability to choose their own custom avatar.

It's got nothing to do with badwidth. Its because certain people would use a high resolution picture of their own rectal muscle as their avatar.

Indeed, over half of the bungie.net community are quite immature.

Rectal muscle? Lmao. But yeah, a lot of people here are really immature. l wish l could have a custom avatar tho. l mean, here's a simple solution: if the avatar's inappropriate, then ban the user. Not that hard.... l'm sure after they got banned, the user would change it.

There are too many immature people for anyone to keep up with. And by the time a mod reaches an inappropriate image, the damage would have been done.

True, l guess. lt's a shame that the rules and standards have to be adjusted to meet the needs of the few stupid people here.

It's not just that. There are so many members. (more than 2,000,000) If only 10% had custom avatars, 200000 picture files would have to be hosted.

How many members are actually active tho? Or does it really not make a difference?

Do not panic, or you will fail.

It is not a custom Avatar guys. It is just the same pic you use for your gamer pic. It would just be like being able to use you Halo 2 avatar. There is nothing custom to it.

But you can only set the vision pics as your personal profile pic. Only your friends can see that one.

You can use the icon your Halo 2 Live Icon as your B.net avatar; I think it's in the option panel after you link your Gamertag.
