Subject: Library question? how does GS know about numba 12 armor?

All Retards are Retarded...

You Catch My Drift??????????

Alright i havent played the Library in a while, but im pretty sure GS says..." You have brought insufficient armor, you need armor 12 to sustain the flood" something like that. My best explanation is that the Forerunners had technology very similar to what the Master Chief was provided with. At the time of his entry into the Library, MC was wearing Mark V MJOLNIR armor. GS says that MC was ill-prepared to fight the Flood (in reference to his weapons and armor, saying that he should have worn Mark XII or Class XII, I'm not entirely sure on which word he used, Class or Mark.). By saying that MC should have Mark/Class XII armor implies that this technology has been used, but in a far more sophisticated and effective manner, by the Forerunners. Or, he could be implying that MC travelled back in time from the future in Mark/Class XII armor. It's not very difinitive. GS also makes references to having met MC before.

Hope this helps, if you have any more questions, PM me and I'll do my best to answer.

I try.

Yes, good job. You're right(I think) about the 'dunnit before' part. In the past, MC must have been the one to fight his way into and activate the control room. With 343GS as his guide.

You've got to think crazy, of course, because you only get innovation by refining insanity. - Jason Jones

Also, while halsey is looking through files she goes through one of ackersons files and sees that he has done some things, like testing in areas that nobody knows about, and possibly testing and running his "spartans" around on halo before we get there in the games. That is why it was mapped out in the star map and the planet was named when we get there "threshold". When the POA jumped to the first halo in the first game she used a random star coordiantion from the computer, she had no idea what it would take her to, so someone sometime had put that coordinates into the computer previously.

I just played through it yesterday and he didn't say armor, he said weapons. "You have insufficient weapons to combat the flood." I know this because when he said i was thinking, ok hes apparently a smart little bugger, why would he call cheif the reclaimer unless

A. He really was the reclaimer
B. He "gs" is confused by the armour the chief wears. (which just goes to show that humans very well could be the flood.)

But he does say Weapons and not armour.

pg. 240 of the flood. On the bottom of the pg. the Monitor says "But i suggest you upgrade to atleast a Class 12 Combat Skin. Your current model is only a class 2."

This suggests that the Forerunners had very advancedarrmor combat systems (duh if they built halo). The Monitor simply scanned the Cheifs armor, and classified it according to what the Forerunners had 101,217 years ago. And the rings are like Earth, so im assuming their years are similar too.

numba 12 armour is probably technology the forerruner used, as you can tell its not to effective seeing as how all the forrernner are dead

The Forerunners are possibly dead because they activated the Halos. But I say possibly because, if you read Ghost of Onix, the slipspace bubbles, that are mini dyson spheres, that protect you from everything, could have kept some alive, like Dr. Hasley did with the other Spartans.

It's the soldier inside the suit that makes the difference. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that the Forerunner weren't quite the Gods of war some make them out to be. I look at them as more of an artsy, science-driven race. I think they'd be more frail and weak.

It's only the fact that they made contact with, created, or are derivatives of the Flood that they were forced to adopt policies and technologies for war.

Besides, with an enemy as numerous and dangerous as the Flood, even a thousand soldiers of the Master Chief's caliber, complete with "Class Twelve Combat Skins," wouldn't stand a chance.
