"Still skyraining noobs in his grave"

After seeing the article, which mentioned the fact that all the old themes won't work with the new interface (which may piss off the people who made them), 1 question bothered me:

Will their be some starting themes (like Halo 3 theme, Halo Wars theme, etc.) when B.net is done it's makeover?

'Cause I don't want to be stuck with 1 theme until someone makes new ones....

I wonder if this means that all Theme Masters get their avatars taken away? Nahhhh, Bungie wouldn't be that cruel. Would they?

It is possible. But, they contributed to the group themes in the soon to be old bungie.net. Possible a title change?

That would be cool if Bungie could allow more themes in the new hawtness. I think I may create my own. It will be fun ;)

Hmm, interesting point. I do hope that the next iteration of B.net allows community input through themes. I rather enjoy making them; between busting my brain trying to remember the names of kings in the Spring and Autumn period, getting my paintshop skills up is a welcome distraction.

Like, an easy ThemeBuilder? I think it'd be amazing to fill out a form where you just replaced their "90x200" image, with your 90x200 image.. That'd be sweet.

Bungie listens to its fans! ^.^ | Ninja .II./ You
RCG: In ur base, steelin' ur flagz. | Watch the demo, then join the carnage!

I hope the themebuilder is a pain in the ass to use.

So that the B.net team don't get flooded with themes from anyone and everyone, and when themes are submitted they are from dedicated people and they might actually get accepted...

If it's an easy one I think we may see no more theme masters.

I want to become a Theme Master and have my own custom avatar! That's why I'm going to submit a theme when Bungie starts accepting them.

It would probably be this.

It wouldn't be special anymore..

Of course, not everyone is a good artist. If it's easy, they'd still have to make great, original images. So, Theme Masters would still exist. And I'm sure Sir Fragula would cry if he was no longer a master of themes.

If you don't got it, you want it. If you got it, you want more of it. Of course if you don't know what it is, it's hard to get any in the first place.

I personally would be glad that Thememaking is easy. Why?

Because Columns were all about personality, and user dedication to Bungie.

Frankly, here's how I think it's going to play out.

The new theme system will make theme construction fairly easy. However this doesn't mean people who flood the theme inbox will all become theme masters. It means that people who make themes will have personal ones to use for their groups, and the best of these will be chosen, and the best users will be theme masters.

Of course this is all conjecture based on how the old column ran. The biggest factor is whether users have to submit their themes for approval.

In an open system that would mean users would have to report "abused" themes, and possibly submit good ones them for "official" use? Or what about Theme nomination from users like Mods and theme masters? Or sending your theme off to get it officialized, or what about a theme code that users can share to spread theme's around?

Well, if the theme making is supposed to be easy next time around, why can you just make your own? Not one for the entire community.
You can submit ones for the entire community, or you can make costom ones just for your own groups.
(I got this idea from neopets and their HTML codes for guilds)
(Ah, the good old days)

Well, that's what RoboChocobo was implying. You could create one just for your group, but you could also submit them as well, and they'd be accepted for Bungie.net-wide use if they're good enough.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

I really want to get Photoshop, I had it on my old computer but it was so damn slow. So I got an upgrade, but also a downgrade-no photoshop :(. I have tried and tried to work it out on Paint but it just doesn't turn out to be "Theme Material".

I am planning on getting Photoshop again soon and I can't wait to see what the new themebuilder is like.
