I removed halo pc out of my computer because I had to install a software for my computer, and it (halo pc) has been out for maybe 4 days.
I put it back in today, and halo won't run at all. It starts, minimizes, and I hear the menu music, but I can't play, I can't maximize it at all, I can't do anything
When I hit ctrl alt delete, and end task... it says "gathering exception data"
I did -window at the end of target line, no work.
Now I can't play my game. what do I do?
MAW Mike told me to update to 1.07 which I did, and recieved error message:
there is a problem with your game installation, you may need to reinstall the game to fix it
I re-installed 4 times and downloaded the patch, no work. any ideas?
yes I looked through stickies and saw no help
That's why I always suggest to people to do their best to keep HaloPC in their computer from not reinstalling. HaloPC is by far, the most glitchiest game when it gets reinstalled.
Check your computer for any known halo.exe files (the previous ones) that was left behind in the uninstallation. Delete those, and try reinstalling. Ignore every errors (that consists of load-freezing, restarting, error messages, etc.), and allow HaloPC to install no matter what. It should work then.
My second-in-command in my clan experienced the same problem. It was so severe, I had to actually go all the way over to his house to help him fix it...=/
