OK the Tueday Gathering wasn't really getting any attendence so I'm going to switch it up to get some interest going again. First off it is moving to Wednesday and it will be passworded. But the game with have "house" rules that will have to be understood and followed by the players in the server. PLEASE do not show up in the server unless you intend to follow the rules. This will only work if everyone follows the rules. Those that consistantly break the rules will be BANNED. You have been warned, do not test me on this.
OK so lets get the details.
Server will be the MAW clan server 8.2.0.184. The password will be: hog.
It starts at 8pm EST (GMT-5) and will last one or two hours depending on how successful it is.
Our first gametype comes from McKeeganWRX who suggested the idea of a custom gametype. He calls it Joust. I call it WORTWORTWORTHOG!
Map: Blood Gulch.
Starting weapon: Plasma pistol. No grenades.
Weapons on map: Plasma pistols
Vehicles on map: All 'Hogs and two tanks.
Gametype: Free-for-all slayer. Team Slayer can work as well.
Kill Limit: Usually 10 or 15.
Gameplay/Rules:
Enforcers: The two (or just one) tanks are manned by the Enforcers. The only thing Enforcers are allowed to do are shoot and kill those that are breaking the rules. They cannot attack for any other reason than this; they simply observe and referee the match.
Objective: The objective is to get into a 'Hog and race to the middle of the map. Opponents then try and ram each other's 'Hogs to flip the opposing vehicle over and spill the occupants out. Once out of a 'Hog, opponents can then be splattered by other 'Hog drivers. This is repeated until someone reaches the kill limit.
Rules:
1. No shooting of any weapon of any kind (except for the Enforcers). This includes 'Hog turrets.
2. No throwing grenades.
3. 'Hogs may not leave the middle of the map. i.e., they can't go to the spawn points in an attempt to rack up easy kills.
That's it. This gametype has been so much fun for me and my friends. When we observe the rules, it is such a blast; driving around, ramming 'Hogs, getting cool air, and trying to splatter opponents before they can get back into their 'Hogs.
Everyone needs to read and understand these rules so that they know what to expect when they are playing. Enforcers will be selected and rotated through everyone in attendence. Do not ask for the password you need to read and understand the rules and can get the password here.
If anyone has any other "custom/house" rules games please suggest them we can use them in the future. Try to include a way to "enforce" the rules if possible
sounds alot like my freinds game except it was called hogs gone wild. I'm so there
