Just a curiously random thought i had while grinding in my favourite MMO.

If we do lose all the group data, to the point where we lose the groups themselves and they have to be re-created, what's to stop some unscrupulous fellow re-creating a group that isn't theirs. Let's face it. We've got some absolute morons on b.net, the petty "group wars" said morons engage in have the sole purpose of destroying the other group, usually by taking it over. What better way to take it over than being the sole user with full control over that group's name.

So this is assuming groups get removed totally (which might not happen, so just ignore me if the group names, members and their control levels are definetely safe)
* Will there be any security surrounding re-creating groups?
* Will any action be taken if prominent groups are hijacked as a result of the possible wipe
* Should group owners take action to record their ownership of their groups, just in case?

I think that only groups with less than three members will be deleted.

Why the hell are you looking at this? Get out.

And no group invites, you jerk. I'm not interested.

I don't believe that groups were one of the possible things to lose.

Imagine.

Yeah, 3 and under is what i think. The more complex the group the less chance of it getting deleted. (sorry to point names) but for example, g3ud0's hug clan thing with 101 members will have a much better chance of suviving then somones's group, in which the only member is himself.

Do not panic, or you will fail.

If too much information is lost, I will blame Stosh.

Haha, I think I'll make a whole new MBT just so I have the name, lol. Really, I wouldn't worry about it.

The groups with under 3 members will be lost, because nobody will be there while groups are offline. The 60 day countdown will end, and they will be gotten rid of. I get the feeling this group thing is not only to improve groups, but to get rid of the bad ones.
