Is it posable to inject my own music into haloPC? And how? I need help!!!!!!!!!!

Thinking of something witty to write here since 2004...

Just play your music on Windows Media player or whatever music player you prefer.

No, Halo PC does not have a built in custom track player.

LIke Killa Koala said, just open of WMP and play what you want and play halo at the same time, or use a CD player.

No, I'm afraid it is "imposable". Just run a media player in the background while you play.

Well, with enough work you could, but it wouldn't be very good! :D

Nor could you choose a track.

But it might lag Halo. So try using Winamp. I haven't used it before, but I heard it's less of a system whore.

OR, as an alternative, you could try listening to a MP3 Player, or a CD Player...but yeah, that might not let you hear the actual Halo sounds, because you have headphones on...

It depends with WinAMP. If you use the basic skin it doesn't use up a lot of resources, but if you have a very graphically intensive skin going then it'll use up a little more. Plus I found that WinAMP gets all messed up when I play Halo with it. It gets moved around after I quit Halo, so the program moves from the top right corner to the middle or something. Also it doesn't really close properly after Halo. But I still use it because WinAMP is still the best free music program available. It might also cause some system instability, but I haven't been able to conclusively prove it.

Windows Media Player 11 uses up a lot of resources. If you play a song in the background, and set it to repeat, everytime the song ends the framerate drops down to the single digits and then it goes back to normal. It wasn't like this with WMP9. :/

That's why I still keep my WMP9, even though my WMP constantely tells me to upgrade. 9 FTW!

WMP sucks. I only use it to watch pr0n... Oops, I've said too much... If you want to play music, get WinAmp. Like I said, it's the best music program available.

The others have already said that just use Winamp or other music player and start Halo. But I have a little addition to this. If you don't want to hear Halo theme music on the back with your selected music, go to Settings > Audio Settings. There is an option to change the volume of the music. Put it to 0, and you will only hear your music, and you still hear the other Halo sounds such as shooting and explosions.

A player called Psycho was given soundmap hacks from Snafu (aimbot builder boy) and now he doesn't hear any background noise on any map. On dangercanyon he can rpefire you even if you are crouch walking at 50 metres.

It means he's a God damned SONAR and can pinpoint your location just by hearing you. That's insane.

How is knowing where someone is by the sound they make insane?

I'm there but, man this is really starting to sound like communism.
Long live the MAW.

well, i know a game where you can change the registry or something, and that would put your custom music into the game. but that game was made in 1998, so is that possible with Halo?

It is when they're on the other side of the map crouch-walking.

But unless you have 7.1 surround sound that won't help much... And there are generally lots of people walking around on a map.

Getting back to the topic at hand...

If you really want to 'inject' your own music into Halo, you need Audacity and a program to convert the .mp3, .wma, or whatever into a .ogg music file.

Then with some time and effort in HMT or whatever...you can 'inject' each bit of the music into the specified .map to play at a certain time, or just for the ui.map music.

Psycho is a 1v1 kind of guy.

"Inject" your own music? Why can't you just say use my own music, or replace the existing music with my own... I am positive you have trouble getting laid.

Indeed, and the sound hack is just as bad as bluewalls.

On DC he holds tunnels for the famous $7, since he knows when players are coming, nobody gets past him in tunnels.
