Do not panic, or you will fail.

People would abuse that to great heights

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

Yeah, no offense but I hate it. I would not like the idea of having to avoid arguing with somebody - even in a polite, respectful way - just so that they wouldn't ban me. This idea would be abused more than an ugly dog at the soccer world cup.

That would be a heavily-abused power.

2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

HELL NO.

I think it sounds like a great idea. In fact, first person who disagrees is banned.

Well, sorry Gendo. :(

I think that members should have one one-day blacklist to use per week to ban another normal member of Bungie.net. This would stop members from posting spam or abusing their blacklists, because they would then be blacklisted by another rightous member of Bungie.net. Also, I think that you should only get this one week blacklist option once you've been a member for a month or so. This will help out the moderators as well, and will also stop spam problems before they get too bad.

If we were in the perfect world that your plan would function in, there would be no need for moderators in the first place.

Very few people would use their powers to help the community, most would use it to solve childish feuds. Also, anyone can behave for a month, you can't use a duration of time to determine someone's character.

It's a neat idea, for a perfect world, but it would only create far more problems than it could ever hope to solve.

To Make Posts is Glorious

Some threads will get posts before others and it is the duty of the Leadership to ensure that posts are made that best suit the public welfare.

Your idea works in theory.

This is by far the absolute worst idea I've ever heard at my time here on Bungie.Net. Absolute worst.

Go Chiefs

If this was allowed I'd ban you for having such a bad idea.

SB-117

Even if this weren't an awful idea there's one thing that further ruins it. Duplicate accounts. Anyone with half an hour to spare can give themselves about 10 blacklists to play with.

Mourne not your comrades who must dwell / too strong to strive -
Within each steel-bound coffin of a cell, / Buried alive;
But rather mourne the apathetic throng / The cowed, and the meek -
Who see the world’s great anguish and its wrong / And dare not speak.

[group]167741|Diner|Where's the food?[/group]

I've been in a couple groups where they decided to give everyone the power to blacklist. Now, these groups are filled with mostly people who get along, and don't really have any serious arguments.

Most of the time, an announcement or sticky would be posted about a week later along the lines of "STOP BLACKLISTING EACH OTHER FOR NO REASON!! It isn't funny anymore!!"

I can just imagine what would happen in public.

No. No. No. No. No.

Why on Earth would Bungie give ban powers to the Halo 3 forum and the Flood?

Or we could have Recon use the "open all links" button and blacklist bungie back into the bronze age.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

Horrible idea. No offense but idiots would run around Blacklisting members for no reason, you know...the few random idiots on B.net. It is good how it is.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!

So, instead of rule breakers spamming the forums, they would be BLing random people?

I wonder how long it would take for someone to BL all the mods, I'd guess about 10 minutes, or however long it takes for them to make enough accounts to do so.
