It's ocurred to me, with all the work, and hope, being put into Halo 2, we, for the most part, have only been imagining what the game looks like. With not very many screens to use, and definitely not being able to create our own, we have had to imagine, nearly everything in Halo 2.
In art, imagination is good, it allows us to do things that would be spoiled otherwise. It's the classic case of the movie ruining the book, because it shows a realized idea of what everything should look like, and breaks what you imagined the story to look like.
Well, Halo 2 is now, but a few hours away. After that, we will no longer imagine. Bittersweet victory.
I've been working on several Halo related drawings, and I'm wondering if I should postpone buying the game, to keep my imagination fresh. Until I'm done, of course. Is this even an issue?
What do you think?
