Well, considering Vista has now been installed on a Mac, does that mean we'll see Halo 2 Mac players?

Haha! =)

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

No, it would still be halo 2 vista running on vista.

It's a plastic shell that houses subpar parts that apple charges too much for.

I doubt Halo 2 Vista would run very well when you have to use a Windows emulator.

Lookup: bootcamp

with the advent of Intel macs, emulators are a thing of the past.

What I always thought hilarious is how Halo PC took quite some time to port on the Mac, despite where Bungie's roots are. Then again, look who owns them....

I've always wondered, is there a single difference between Halo for the PC, than for the Mac?

Graphics, gameplay, anything?

There's some special animations and details, like a little symbol on the flamethrower. Other than that, I think, like the guy above mentioned, that the only big difference is the text is displayed big in the upper left corner when you kill people.

I don't know if Bootcamp + Mac Pro + Vista +H2V will work, but I assume not, because the point of Halo 2 Vista is that it is for PC, not Mac. And the FAQ explicitly states that there are no plans to port to Mac currently in progress. Hate to burst your bubble, dude. Mind you, I'm a Mac guy, too, but I'm not all that torn up by it.

See my above post, there is no reason why it shouldnt work since a mac is just overpriced pc parts in a white plastic shell.

Don't worry, you're not bursting my bubble. I don't own a Mac. If I ever want one, refer me to a clinic.

Vista isn't using an emu to run either.

Add me to your friends list if you haven't already. It's a lot more fun to play with people from The Maw and people I know than random noobs.

I hate macs. We have them at school and THEY ARE TEH SUXZ0Rz!!11!
They're so laggy in everything. And then theres that mouse... Yeah you know what I''m talking about. That ugly, rectangular, One-buttoned-but-really-two, piece of -blam!-. Half the time I click on Word or some other program and end up right clicking it because of the -blam!- mouse. Lol!

I'm not sure about this, but doesn't the Mac version show a bigger, bolder font for the text chat in multiplayer?

You're using a Mac made in the early nineties. You have no meaningful say, get out.

Hahahahahaha... MAC's! God they are such trendy consumer peices -blam!-. Even with a hot secretary in glasses sitting infront of one doesn't make them more appealing. Mac's will always be a for emo losers. The only good thing that you could use on a Mac was a game called The Incredible Machine, back in 94. Halo 2 Mac LMAO! I must register this domain ASAP hahahahahaha!!!

Yeah, don't diss the machine. GG. =P

Anywho, umm.. I don't get this logic of Vista using bootcamp onna mac, and NOT being able to play H2V??? it's not running in emulation, and mac's even have vista drivers so they run at full speeds of the operating system... cause in the end, that's all they're doing.. they ain't not supporting macs, they're just not supporting the Mac OS. K, well they might not officially support their hardware either, but there's no doupt in my mind that H2V will run onna Mac. Heck, I'm sure with vista and bootcamp they could run any game out there... maybe not as perfect as a true PC cause I dunno how well ATi's vidcard drivers for macs are... but none-the-less, it'll run.

Yes it does. Sometimes it obscures where I'm trying to shoot, it's so big and high on the screen. I think it's lower down on the PC from what I've seen in screen shots.

I've also heard that the hogs in PC have brake lights. Macs don't.

If that were true, there would be no reason why you couldn't install windows on a mac. However, you can't install windows on non intel macs because they aren't pc parts. They aren't subpar either. The pc would have all the subpar parts. Since the intel macs aren't emulating a windows environment, it should run. Theres no hardware specific reason why they shouldn't.

LMAO! I had no idea that apple would still be selling computers they made in the 90's. These are what I was talking about and these are what I say suck. How I have no meaningful say makes no sense to me.
