So please, if you're a douche who likes to do this stuff, and you see that you're irritating someone with constant kills and taunts, stop being an ass and go after someone else, because pretty soon theres a chance that noob will find you again and PWN your sorry ass with an aimbot, rather than PWN your sorry ass by traditional means.

No. A noob will try to kill you with an aimbot, and get pwned by someone like Nessy instead

I did it when I sucked hardcore, and I had no life. I reformed, joined the MAW~ clan, and I now teach others every now and then the difference between cheating and legit, and how to spot different types of cheats.

I don't think I ever really came across a good player anyway in a pub...

Realistically speaking, if the aimbot hits 100% and using pistol, it would take 3 players hitting 33% headshots to kill them. Given an aimbot hitting always in the head, the only disadvantage an unskilled aimbotter will have is revealing more of his body to be hit - but since HIS shots will always hit anyway, if he has that skill he as a 2X advantage over standard players. (assuming he can dodge slightly)

Of course, he won't be able to use grenades worth a damn, so hogs should squish'em very easily.

Therefore, the best way to deal with a botter is to make em road-kill. No bots for vehicles, eh?

hehe, one day has gone by and so many posts in this topic. WOW.

Just to say you guys, I'm not trying to say that the online world is filled with elitest bastards, I only wanted to just make a statement that people who are elitests should tone down a bit so that people aren't frustrated enough to the point where they start using aimbots or other cheats.

I'm not saying that people resort to cheats immediately after a few deaths, but I'm saying that there is a limit to how much someone can take. Note, I said SOMEONE. Just because you guys can probably ignore it now, doesn't mean there is someone who can't. (I know someone is going to say, "well then they suck lol")

Also, I'm not trying to make this a flame topic, just a discussion about how some people act and react on online games like this when they are faced with jerk elitest who like to rub it in after every damn kill.

People tend to forget that aimbots are not 100% effective. They aim for you, and that's all they do. An aimbotter will always miss shots. They aren't very effective, to be honest. Of course, it's still dangerous to be fighting against one.

Remember this, if a person gets perfect shots every single time he fires a round, he's not botting. He might just be insanely good. Sometimes I join servers and I don't miss a bullet for like half-way into the game if I take my time.

What's the difference between a botter and a really good player who gets 3SKs and sniper headshots most of the time, from the perspective of the person getting killed? Not much, except the botter probably lack other skills that the really good player has. So I'd rather play against the botter.

I'd rather play a person who gets 3SKs because they have skill to snipe, with botters you just stand there.

I know, I'm talking about the people who think they are uber if they kill you just once.

I'm talking about the kind who type "pwned noob" after every freakin kill they get on you.

It makes some people feel incompetent which MAYBE lead to them getting fed up with it and getting cheats.

Basically, both people have a part in the deal.

Its partly the elitest's fault for being an ass.

And its also the victim's fault for letting it all affect him so deeply.

I repeat, sing along with me, I run the streets the streets don't run me.

I rather enjoy playing people who pwn me. I can learn their techniques and maybe even tweak them a little to my own style. I am agreeing with this post creator on the idea of not flaming and all, but to put a cap on killing people is totally pointless. Halo multiplayer is usually about the killing of other players (not objective games like CTF though, duh.) If the thread creator is telling elitists, such as Nessy, to stop killing and all, sadly, that will never happen. And, there will always be elitist pricks wherever one goes, you just have to ignore or adapt to them, maybe even get better and kill them in return and all that nice crap.

Another way to tell whether someone is botting or not is to follow him. If he's aiming at someone who gets into a vehicle and his character does a mad spin, then he's botting, as the aimbot screws up when ever someone gets in or out of a vehicle that the aimbot is targeting. You'll also be able to tell whether they are botting or not if they constantly aim through walls, such as sidestepping their way out of the base as their person slowly rotates until they jump out for a quick second with the sniper rifle, fire, and get a kill, though this method isn't as effective as the vehicle one.

They also tend to strafe in circles while they do it.

Don't forget they can't hit you if you crouch.

I'm not telling elitests to stop killing people completely, I'm asking them to please try and go after someone else who is playing if they are beginning to irritate someone who they constantly kill.

Either that or give the other person a chance at least instead of killing them the second they respawn or the second you see them.

Dude, people have been asking that since the beginnings of internet gaming. There's always going to be someone who thinks they are the hottest -blam!- to ever grace the video game world. They won't stop shooting people as fast as they can, no matter what. There's only three ways to deal with it.
1: Leave the server.
2: Aimbot.
3: Practice and own them at thier own game.

Since the human race has become a fat, lazy cesspool of quick fixes and iniquity, most people are going to go for option two over option three.

There are always the idiots out there who trash talk, but it only proves their own immaturity. If you actually pull this experiment off, by going into a server, doing very good all on skill, yet NEVER saying a word, not even a "ty" when someone says nice shot. It helps alot because it works on others emotions. They dont know what your thinking, so they dont know how to react to it. An accidental noscope headshot by you might have done could be played off as an intentional act, which further works to your advantage cause then they start getting nervous and in effect, start to play bad.

I've won many 1v1 matches this way, because it plays off of their emotions and causes them to become nervous and lose their focus. Think of it as a psychological advantage over them.

I think it's funny that we play a game where we kill each other and then get upset that our opponent wasn't nice. Must be all the Politically Correct crap they brainwash you in school with these days.

Nope. It's the last remnants of sportsmanship that they used to teach in school (well, schools worth going to, anyway) but seem to be dying out. It's a game, not access to food, shelter, or breeding privileges. What's the point in carrying the competitiveness beyond the gameplay itself?

I've actually done that myself. I go into a server and start playing without saying a word. Yet, I still get called a cheater anyway. :(

Hell, even war itself isn't totally without good nature.

On another note, I have been hit constantly in the head even when dodging unpredictably (and I am usually a very good dodger, I can say now). What's the consensus of people here, can 'pro' players actually have better accuracy and hit ratio than the best aimbots? I think that aimbots still have the advantage...

Absolutely. There are plenty of players who can best aimbotters.

Most of the PC issues posted here are the result of PEBKAC.

Many months ago, I heard about the aimbot. First I tried the OGC aimbot, but that sucked, and then I obtained bitterbanana's aimbot. This one was better, but not as good. My accuracy wasn't 100%, my strafing was off and awkward, my aim also sucked when people jumped over me. I no longer use it, and as a result, I've gained a certain degree of skill.

Also playing well without saying anything does have an effect. When I first started, I was using the name "red" and my only line of comment was "...". It made a lot of people crazy because they didn't know what I meant by it. I get called a cheater every now and then, but it no longer bothers me.
