Well, Reaver, it depends on what kind of strafe your using. The side to side strafe is a VERY bad one to use, because a good player will instantly pick up on that and just shoot between your pivot points.

Watch that and youll see.

That's an interesting video. It's good for those who are weak in their movement. Like me.

Okay, firstly, if idiots start to aimbot, it is a bigger loss to themselves than to others around them.

Secondly no, people should not use foul language ingame. Sportsmanship, this isn't real war. What about boxing? People punch eachother to death but don't need to sware.

Thirdly, yes, it is possible to beat an aimbotter, even a player with 200 ping can beat an aimbotter with 33 ping. Much like a player with 200 ping can beat a player in his own 0 ping server.

And about that video, for a short strafe the best place to aim it to one of the side, but not right against it. For example, if they are moving left, you want to aim so that even if they are at the edge of their strafe it will hit, but only just, this means that as they are strafing back inwards you still should of got hits on them.

A useful vid, especially the bits with the grenade-on-head-melee, but I strafe very, very erratically, even more so than the video (e.g. strafing diagonally at times, stop-jumping and basically acting more erratic than a brownian motion molecule on crack).

As for ping, would a botter hosting his own 0ping server always hit?

No, he would always miss unless he set his aimbot not to lead, because aimbots are made to lead.

aimbot do NOT account for distance.

Although they do work on vehicles and they do work when crouched.

If the bot lead was set to 0, it would work fine. I had somebody bot against me yesterday when they had a 0 ping, because they thought I was botting. Three shots every time, pretty much perfect.

Really? We must be thinking about different aimbots, then.

Dude, you don't need an aimbot to get perfect shots everytime when you're the host...

Yes, but it will improve the aim of most people.

It was a bot yesterday anyway.

I was playing against two [VP] members on their own home dedicated (0 ping to one of them) and was winning 20-0. I got accused of aimbotting, then one of them (with the 0 ping) goes AFK for about 30 seconds and suddenly starts three shotting me. I said botting won't help them get members, as it was a recruiting game, and one guy said he didn't care if the clan aimbotted, and the one that was said he only bots against people who bot first.

So, there we go. I was just saying.

Haha. Botting is still botting. "I cheat against those who cheat first."
