I'm just curious, but what is the big deal if someone plays Halo on an Xbox or on a PC? I mean, I see a lot of people flaming each other about being on a different gaming system than one another and it makes me think "Gee, are people are becoming racists with ELECTRONIC GAMING SYSTEMS now?". Guys, different people like different things. Life will always be that way; no matter what, you will never be able to change someones mind if they love the Xbox or the PC. So please, be considerate and don't flame people just because they like playing a game on an Xbox or a PC, it just wastes space and time.

If you see someone talking about an Xbox clan or whatever on the Halo PC forum just calm down, take a breath, exhale, stand up, walk outside and admire the feel of real life, then come back and go on to another thread. If that doesn't help the anger, do something else other than sitting at a computer and becoming depressed/angered because someone doesn't play on the same type of gaming machine as you.

Here are my pros and cons for both Xbox and PC:

XBOX
---Pros--
1. The Xbox will have better performance, graphics, and maybe internet gameplay than a PC unless a PC user can afford the $300+ video cards, $400-500+ processors, and atleast 1 or 2 GBs of RAM. I don't know much about the internet gameplay over LIVE! for Xbox, but I would think it would have less lag than the PC version most of the time.
---Cons---
1. The controllers for Xbox are harder and slower to aim with than a PC mouse. Thus, slower movement in turning and combat.
2. If auto-aim is still in Halo 2 for Xbox, then thats pretty newbish and should be in cons -unless you like auto-aim since you suck.
3. You have to pay for Xbox LIVE! monthly. If you're reading this + have Xbox LIVE!, that means you're also paying for an internet connection. That's 2 payments per month when all you would have to do is save money that you would normally spend on the Xbox LIVE! payment and eventually build a new computer that can handle Halo or Halo 2 when it comes out for PC and you would only be paying for 1 internet subscription per month!

PC
---Pros---
1. More accurate and faster aiming with the mouse. Which means you could possibly turn around faster and kill the person shooting at you if they came from behind.
2. Probably easier to drive with the PC?
3. Same as #1's first sentence but add "plus no auto-aim" to it!
4. You actually need some skill to attempt to kill people with a better system than you because a 6800GT video card vs. a 5700 Ultra may make a difference between who wins and who loses. Thus, if the slower/older version of the two wins then what's that mean? Ahh, skill!
---Cons---
1. If you have a P.O.S. PC, that might be a problem and most likely Halo will suck on it. Get a job.

Those are my pros and cons for the two gaming systems! Now start flaming!

the only problem with the lag and such on the pc is the worst porting in my life

if you see what you need to run halo on a xbox a pc should run it also but there are also different factors that are interfearing.

1. bad porting it lags and the grapics took a beating
2. xp = gone bye bye cpu and ram it sucks everything out of it
3. diff mobo's ram vid's etc

and also a better card is not always better than a old one i shoot guys down with my mx460

actualy, if you know where to look, your comp can outdate an xbox for under $200(for both a processer and card)

Its not because of the 2 different system that the Halo Xbox and PC are divide, its because the Xbox community don't like seeing their "best game of their life" going to another platform. So as a result, they would frequent and troll the PC forum by posting "mouse sucks", "pc sucks" and by coming up with the most stupid reason why Halo shouldn't be on PC because it hurts their pride and stuff. What you're seeing now with the "anti-xbox" threads right now is the PC community seems to have gotten fed up and what you're seeing is a counterattack which I don't blame them at all.

I believe the reason that PC gamers get so annoyed is because they pay a lot for high-spec Pc's, and have a passion for their hobby, and then for some xbox gamer to come along and say their favourite game is -blam!- because it doesn't run perfectly on every single computer in the world regardless of how old they are... it just makes people p!ssed off. Anybody who's got a fast computer knows Halo PC can be better than the xbox version, but xbox gamers with -blam!- PC's come along and acuse them of lying or being stupid, either because they're jealous because they can't afford a good enough computer, or because they haven't ever seen Halo on a good PC and are judging it unfairly on what they have seen on -blam!- PC's.

The point is, unless you've played it on a good PC and seen that the graphics are NOT worse, that it is NOT a bad port, and that the multiplayer does NOT lag, don't come here telling everyone that people with fast PC's are stupid liars. Halo PC is better if you have a really good PC, that's fact, ok? If you don't have a good PC that's your problem.

Heyyo,

I just wanna pitch in and say, yes, there are pros and cons for both systems. I was once like you too dude, saying that it plays good on both systems, but then some xbox guys call me a n00b cause I think HaloPC is good and runs nice on my PC. I mean, you gotta have some kindof brain meltdown to not realise a good PC can run all games pretty nicely. I sometimes babysit some kids, and they love their xbox, and their PC sucks, it's old. I'm tryint to teach them that xbox is great, and so is a properly built PC. I think there pc is a compaq, so by default their image of computers is squered. :P

So yes, I just flame xbox users cause they annoy me thinking their xbox is superior to my computer is all really. And as for better driving on pc? yes, cause you can pull quick 180's and do really tight figure 8 spins while on xbox you do pretty wide ones. Even with the sensitivity up, it's not as instant and as accurate as a good ol' mice can be.

SAS Tylium, you said:
"and also a better card is not always better than a old one i shoot guys down with my mx460 " - That was exactly my point when I said "you need skill to play Halo on a PC". :)
