Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

I was managing my chapter today, and I thought to myself how useful it would be to assign special properties to text for certain members.

Much like applying abilities to security roles, I think it would be useful to be able to give text colors, much like the moderators have on the site forums, to groups. Being able to quickly identify Administrators, chapter moderators, or, in the case of my group, the "village-idiot" style member would make for a more enjoyable experience.

Obviously such an adjustment could be made in the upcoming site update, I just thought I'd toss my feelings out for you all.

Arrr, ye need not name names!

Trailer Park Boys ~ One of the best Canadian made comedies ever.

I've always wondered the same thing.

I think it would be a great addition to the security roles in the chapters. It would represent the different moderators and higher ranking personnel more clearly than before.

That's true, but the colors that the security roles are assigned would constantly be changing, because of the numerous formats you can apply to the group. It would work fine if everyone used Default, but the white or colored text might not show up as well on a lighter background.

Why the hell are you looking at this? Get out.

And no group invites, you jerk. I'm not interested.

And then you'd have to make it so that mods and employees are the only ones with their own text colors so you need more unsightly ones like red and green.

Skillet was here and referred to himself in the third person.

I fought hard for that last year...if it gets incorporated now, i'll sue you for every penny you've got.

I'll sue the mods too, they always told me it was a crappy idea.

Well, the ones that I talked to anyway.

Do not panic, or you will fail.

Really, colored text makes a post by an important member stand out, as they usually have something good to say. I vote yes towards this.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

I like this idea. I also am wondering about the idea of the administrator being able to allow certain members to use certain colors in their posts.

NOTE: I am not fully committed to this idea.... just wondering if it might be useful.

Example:* Administrator: May use any color
* Moderator: Administrator modifies settings such that moderator may use any color except Gold and White
* Regular Member: Administrator modifies settings such that regular member may use only gray, green, and red. Anyway, I'm thinking that whichever way you cut it, different text colors for groups is a great idea.
