hey guys long time lurker first time poster, ah I have always have this problem with Halo. single player has lots of situations where it gets extremly slowed down but multiplayer never gets any kind of slow down except for lag sometimes, multiplayer plays way better than single player

here are my specs
cpu: AMD atholn 1.9 GHZ
ram: 1g of ddr page file of 2 gig
graphics card: 256 mb agp geforce 5500

before I get flammed for my crap computer I'm getting a job very soon and by June I'll have enough money to upgrade my computer to the most pimped out graphics power house computer ever made.
So... what's your point?

point is how the bloddy hell is multiplayer playing better than singleplayer, mabye problem with game.

Hold on, are you saying that you like campaign better than multi enjoyability-wise or are you saying that you're having a technical problem in one or the other?

My PC is a piece of crap too, and I always get a higher framerate in MP than in SP. I can guess why too- In Multiplayer, Halo is simply processing the network and the other players. In SP, Halo is forced to process not only your own actions (Graphically), but also things like scripts, loading new BSP sections, and the AI.

Although halo CE graphic is better on my pc than on xbox, i kept on having problem like lagging in game and more than often it got me killed on multilayer. One minute i was shooting a guy arm with a pistol as he try to avoid my AR, then it suddenly lag, and i couldn't aim correctly then i was dead. The problem with Halo CE on pc, is that it need a whop load of graphic and i have a model 2004 but it still lag even for a 7 years old game.

Isn't it obvious? Think about it, the single player is a vast amount of maps in one level, with a loading zone dividing sections. Whereas in multiplayer, the levels are rather small compared to the single player missions, and you don't need to go into a loading zone every virtual mile I walk. Duh.

Not to mention that campaign has a high amount of extremely intelligent AI in it.

Hahahahahahahaha, I'm sorry, but that made me laugh.

You're right though, all that AI takes some processing, and in the end can affect your performance. Along with the huge levels.

i have a AMD 1.8 sempron, 512 ram, and i did have a intergrated card and i ran halo CE just fine. what i find funny is when somebody post there specs people automatically go OMG UPGRADE NOW!!! roflllllllllll

he does not need a upgrade to play CE, id sugest doing a spyware scan (with something good like spybot and theres a couple others, not the norton -blam!-) and that usualy bost my FPS about 10.

i remember when i had intergrated and campaign lagged like WTF. also what settings do you have it on? i can run 800X600 with textures low and specular on on some maps
