I recently purchased the Nintendo DS Browser, and Bungie.net looks great on it. It looks just like it does on a computer. So first of all, nice work with that.

B.net on DS

I'm sure you can view Bungie.net on mobile phones aswell.

What I actually want to know is, will the new Bungie.net have such major changes/upgrades that it will become unviewable on such portable devices?

2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

That's pretty cool. Where can I get one? :P

That's pretty cool, but the size of the screen leaves something to be desired :-P

Procrastination never ends...

If you access Bungie.net via google search on a cell phone, google adjusts the page automatically to work. Not always pretty, but it keeps the files small so they don't crash the phone. I'm sure the new bungie.net will work the same.

THAT'S COOL!!! Seriously...

The new site will have a significantly smaller page weight (it is not nearly as image heavy, and has only 5 style sheets). After the first request, it gets even smaller because things are cached.

We have not made any effort to support mobile platforms (yet), but the Opera-based browsers of the DS and the Wii should work fine. I'm pretty sure the PSP browser will also work. The one thing that may impede some browsers is the requirement for recent Javascript engine and XMLHTTP implementation (AJAX). Turning off Javascript is not an option with the new site; it is required. If you don't know what that means, don't worry, that was more for people familiar with the technology. ;)

I'm not sure all phones have javascript, but I think accessing through google may still work, as they keep the page in a frame on the phone and pull out client side code that isn't phone compatible.

Is the reduced page weight to reduce load times or server load? Because the trend on the internet seems to be heavier pages as internet speeds increase.

And this may have already been answered but will we be seeing any Web 2.0 stuff?

Are you going to make it possible to sign in while on a phone?

I've been able to use this phone for over 2 years now. It connected and worked reasonably well. The only thing that was missing was the "submit" button when composing a reply.

I could browse, read, view, and even use my ninja tools while using it. The phone just gave up the ghost last week.

I've got this one on order through my employer. It should arrive in a few days. I am thinking/hoping that it will work even better than my previous model (newer version of Windows and browser) and perhaps the missing submit button will make an appearance.

My fingers are crossed.

That phone is sweet. I went there to look at new phones and it was on the top of my list. Very cool.

The new firefox update has a change in Javascript that renders us wise FF users unable to create threads.

We must now use IE... or Flock... or something.

I had the same problem on the DS the first time, and thought I wouldn't be able to, but it was because I had turned images off. Turn them on and you're fine. :)
