Imagine.

In one of the above stikies, and the poem in my Sig, Give a link to find out what mod is online and the capability to PM them, i use this often to report spam etc. But it no longer works, and brings me to a "Bad Request" what exactly is wrong with it?

There is a reason I am user ID 1 and my account creation date is before this site came online.

It goes down from time to time, I noticed it a couple days ago when I was trying to stalk EvilCammy. Since it is hosted by a single individual, I figure something has gone awry on whatever they are using to host it. I'm sure that KD or JMF (I think) are probably aware of the problem and working on it.

If you really need to get ahold of a mod, and you don't have them on either IM service, you could go to HFCS and check to see when is the last time they logged into B.net, which is what KD's program does for you anyways. That's how we used to have to do it before he came up with that handy program.

So that's my suggestion.

shhhhhhh

I recall kd5 saying something about discontinuing it, over IRC. Either it was too time consuming, or something else.

The time may have come. Or it may just be down.

Anyway, He HAD the source code of the program somewhere, and the alpha version of his program may still exist as well.

Dig around.

If at all plausible, I suggest you just download it to your computer. Just go here and when it asks you to Open, Save, or Close, save it. Then go to the file on your computer, wherever you sent it, then run the .bat file once that is complete, just select the internet file. And congratulations, you have your own mod watch that will likely never crash : ). Sorry if you did this already, from the way I interpreted your post, you have not attempted this solution.

I just downloaded it, and it claims everybody's last login was 1/31. I doubt that's true, so that solution doesn't work. This should really be a feature in the new new hawtness, so we don't have to worry about this kind of thing.

Bungie should host it on their servers. It's just too damn useful.

Controlling fission events without incident since May, 2012.

Would you like to enlighten us? Last time I checked admins are able to moderate as well, if that's what you're talking about.

-Quaere verum.

Got a report? Use the report tool or send a pm.
Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

Shishka's still on there because some people felt they might need to PM him still at sometime...for...some reason. I'm sure if Kd5shw and or jmh9072 is made aware of this problem, something can be done.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

I'm surprised Shishka wasn't given moderator status by this time... He was a formidable opponent, and I welcomed his malignancy towards members...

Maybe there's just something wrong with the server. The Internet can be so unpredictable.

I didn't realize until just about now how much I use that program.

C'mon jmh and kd5shw, we need you!

Sorry about that, but there was a huge storm in Dayton yesterday, and some cable lines were hit, making it impossible for you to reach the server located in my basement. I didn't have time to set it up again this morning, but it's back up now.

You have to run "modhtml.bat" before you open "mod.html."

It works for me, but one question. How do you link it on these forums? I try it but it doesn't work.

[url=C:\Documents and Settings\Michael Mather\Local Settings\Temp\Temporary Directory 1 for modhtml.zip\mod.html[/url]

See.

You can't link to a place on your HDD without setting up an HTTP server on your computer.

Yay, fix'd!
Also, upload junk to a website, don't link it straight from the HDD. That's asking for a haxxing.
