"Mouse Trap" 2 pumas and 2 wraiths (or more if that will be possible in halo 3 please) .. no shooting aloud just wraiths trying to ram into the pumas (mouses) ... but the kind we play we allow the wraiths to shoot in the final minute

I like hearing about what you like but I don't understand how a weapon and definitley MJOLNIR armor can float.

I don't know about the bodies, but I think for the weapons, he was more referring to something like this...say the weapon lands in the water on a beach. The tide would slowly carry it back to shore. Make more sense?

Anyways, my game type: (that I haven't used/played in at least a year?)

Brute Wars
* Starting weapon: Brute Plasma Rifle
* Weapons on map: Plasma I think? or maybe it was covenant?
* Usually played on Midship
* Turn on 3 rounds 25 or 50 kills per round depending on party size?

P.S. Brute Plasma Rifle <3 Just gotta get about 3 shots on em' then beat em down.

Hopefully I'm not the first to post their list (first page had not a single list), so here's mine.

Zombies: RedVSGreen, start 1 green (zombie). can only use sword. Humans use magnum and/or shotgun. When human dies, they join green side as a zombie. Winner is last survivor. No radar at all.

Resident Evil: Zombies, except on Crazy King, where hill is safe zone.

Cat and mouse: 2 Red vs X Blue. Red guys get Wraith tanks (2), blue get warthogs (4). Game lasts 6 min. Blue guys cannot shoot at or kill wraith. For first minute, wraith cannot do anything but drive around. After a minute, wraith can boost. When only 1 min. remains, wraith my fire cannon (maybe make 45 sec).

Assasin: Ninjanaut, where no one has shields, Jug has sword, invis, high speed, and shotgun. Non-jug have shotgun and pistol. Radar only for Juggernaut.

Rugby: Assault, but no shields, and no shooting. only melee attacks. played on symmetrical map, usually beaver creek. No Radar.

Hide and Seek: Reverse ninjanaut, all non-jugs have invis. They cannot shoot/kill the juggernaut. Lasts 6 minutes. Jug has no radar.

Will is everything.

Man awesome update. The more I read the more excited I get about the prospects of Halo 3 and the Halo 2 maps. This was a quality update, and I love hearing about the work and processes it takes into creating what is soon to be an instant classic. As for custom gametypes we love, I can think of a good few.

Sword vs Shotty: Everyone spawns with an energy sword primary weapon and shotgun secondary. Shotguns on map, no motion tracker. 100 kills to win. Great fun and carnage to be had.

Fiesta Lowball: Ok everyone on the team has to get 30 seconds with the oddball to win. Primary and secondary weapons are random, with starting grenades on. Random weapon set on map. Motion tracker on. Awesome fun on Gemini.

3 Flag BansheeHog: Banshee is activated, with both light vehicles being chain gun Warthogs. No heavy vehicles. Time limit is at 12 minutes with starting grenades on, BR and SMG start. Motion tracker off with no touch return and 30 second flag respawn. This can lead to some epic CTF games on Coagulation, Headlong, and Containment.

A gametype I used to play quite a bit with some old clanmates was called "Assasin"

In Assasin it's overshields and swords only. No radar. You have to sneak up behind someone and assasinate them, to get the kill. If you come at each other face on you both just turn and run. Single sword assasinations only, from the back. It was strangely addicting.
the stalkings were epic.

Nice update. Left out the part about when the Beta goes live though....

time to 2:00, 1:00, or :30 seconds for team, fewer than five players, and more than five, respectively

Warmup:
BR start, optional snipe secondary
standard weapons
Unlimited everything

Paintball:
Team Elimination: one life, first to five BR start, no shields/ radar, unlimited score, four minutes.
One Flag: same rules as slayer without flag indicators.

I really hope that you guys will bring back unlimited nades as an option in multiplayer, it would be a welcome change in some matchmaking playlists.

Plasma Grenade Terminology:

Stuck on the crotch = Blueballs
Stuck on the visor = Bluescreen
Stuck on top or the head = Super-Saiyan
Stuck on the back of the head = Steven Segal
Stuck on the ass = Peter Cottontail
Stuck on the foot = Hotfoot
Stepped on a plasma grenade and it stuck to the bottom of your foot = Stepped in gum
Stuck on the back = Rocketpack or Jetpack
Stuck on the hand = Struck a Match

Zombies, but I assume your already putting that in because of how popular it became.

What would be cool is some kind of team Ninjanaught, where only the Ninja on your team can get kills, it would be quite interesting to see how that would work out, it could turn out good or very, very bad if people don't play as a team, I dunno, give it a try none the less. 1/2 hour playtest, I can't imagine it being too hard to implement.

I'm quite sure everyone know these already, but I just... you know... ehm.

Pacman (Of course, duh. Oddball, (yellow) Pacman must beat down every ghostie with ball.)
Alcatraz (Zanzibar, escape from the base into the sea. Two Sniper guards on seawall.)
Treamors (Coagulation, two blues must stay in their Ghost as the reds must capture their flag. Blues may only splatter their opponents.)
Hide and Seek (Juggernaut, everyone invisible and Juggenaut must go seek).
Warm Up Round (FFA, Slayer Pro, No Duals, Motion Sensor Off, BR Spawn)

And I always used very stupid names like Asskickery FFA for Slayer variant copies. Jus wanted to use another name for Slayer. And of course MLG in just about everything...

I didnt get the meaning on the sig on that thread for halo wars:

That works out as approx 9 days (777601) seconds... but its only 13% complete so thats not the full decryption time. But then it was posted on the 28th of Feb, but he quotes 'as of now 20th feb' in his post. Eurgh, confusing... probably Frankie giving me a headache.

But if posted on the 28th, that would mean the 9th of March is an important day? Or the image will be decrypted then? or the Halo 3 demo's out?!

Any ideas?

Going on station.

Me and a friend have ghost vs ghost.
When one of them roll and a player falls out, it becomes ghost vs man. Weapons are banned unless you are knocked out.

Or Banshee vs wraith. You can kinda guess what that means.

And i calll a plasma sword my flood killer.

frankie. i dont have a custom game type of sorts...just a graphical and animation request. is it at all possible to make the plasma weapons act the same way as in the Halo 1 game? when i say this, i mean that in halo 1, if you shot at a wall for example, a rather large scorch mark would appear which would slowly fade away and reveal a small melted hole in the wall. in Halo 2, it seemed to be more of an electrical discharge which didnt seem to leave a mark at all. and probably wasn't very PLASMA like either. these little things just add to the gaming experience. i'd really appreciate it if i could get some feedback from you guys concerning this matter.

It'd be cool to have a basic template for Zombies, Demolition Derby, Racing and Tremors.

For Zombies i always wished they team would change over upon death and limit the teams to weapons and abilities. Like may the survivors can only use magnums, SMGs and shotguns, while the zombies can only use their fists &/or swords, plus they have damage resistance on and do extra damage.

For Demolition Derby I use machinegun warthogs but tell my players not to get on the turrents. It'd be cool if there was a way to increase the number of vehicles, while removing all the weapons and turrents. Then I have one called Carmageddon, all vehicles and turrents on random respawn, no weapons or grenades (I substitute a plasma pistol). Better hope you don't grab a Spectre or Warthog without a gunner when going up against.... well, pretty much anything. Lots of vehicular carnage, vehicle-jackings and running for your life when you don't have a vehicle.

I have a custom called Duck Hunt and Duck Rockets, that I use on Ascension (and Coag/Lockout, for those two banshees). Involves one (or two) unlucky player(s) piloting the banshee(s), while everyone uses rifles and snipers in one, and rockets in the other, trying to take down the banshee(s). The players have one life only, as does the banshee(s), but the banshee(s) has damage resistance (Juggernaut rules, except when two players), but in Rockets also has overshield (except two players). The gunmen have radar, while the banshee doesn't have radar (two player, no one has radar) - the match begins once the banshee(s) is in the air.

I also have one called Out of Luck. It's assault or flag with the carrier moving at full speed, but the bomb/flag is visible at all times. The weapons on the map are default, but players start with snipers and rockets. As the name says, you're out of luck. They know which way you are coming/going, it makes some interesting teamwork and sacrifices when you're with some good players and combatants.

Another I would like could be called Dogfight, all banshees, nothing else. SLAYER style! I'd love to just have a racetrack level too, like some of the modded gamers play, they look fun at times, albeit done a bit wierdly.

Regardless though, the one main thing I'm hoping for is a checklist for editing the customs, so you can choose each weapon, grenade and vehicle type in the match, instead of choosing a general group (like Dual-Wielding). Sometimes you just want to do a Needler match or Sticky Match, heh. Also It'd be cool if you could start off unarmed and punch without a weapon also - could add some interesting gameplay for some customs. I also hope there's a way to increase thenumber of vehicles also. I liked Coag in H2, but four warthogs for those customs was not enough, heck even just two wraiths or skorpions weren't enough.

Oh and I love the updates, keep it up!

Lol, the Marty pic was rather err freekishly unsettling, but none the less very amusing (not saying marty himself is freekish just that pic). Again animation sounds like it is surpassing even my highest expectaions !, details sound crazly awsome. Would love to hear martys halo 2 score live but unfortunatly I live on an iland that allways rains (england) and at present have no means of escape. Look foward to more details on the new maps for halo 2 !
