here are some things me and my friends call gametypes and stuff in general
Golden Gun= no shields, all magnums, no grenades, no weapons on map, usually played on a smallish map to 50, rules: one shot per encounter with oponent, if you don't get a head shot you must melee, makes for carefull use of ammo and aim. basicually swat magnums, but you only get 1 shot per oponent.
Demolition Derbie= all warthogs, fast vehicle respawn, no shields, damage resist, played on large map. Rules: cannot shoot vehicles or use hog guns, must use hogs to battle it out pedestrians are fair game for hogs.
Sniper Ball: oddball with snipers
"Rocks"- rockets
Tower of Power: turrets on, weapons are shotties, grenades on, usually played on Ascention. Teams fight for controle of turret of big base.
Zombies: weapons shotties and swords as secondary, no grenades, played on medium to small map, 2 teams, at start one team has a single guy, the other has the rest. Rules: if you are killed by the zombie(one guy) you must change to his team. Only zombies can use swords There are many variations of weapons to this custom.
Hide and Seek: invisibility on, jugernaut it fast and is not invisible, must find and kill all other players. No respawns, last to be found is the winner.
Fight Club: no shields, weapons are plasma pistols, no grenades, limited # of respawns pure melee carnage. There is a variation, to the normal free for all, where all players form a circle on an upper level (usually played on ivory tower, or sanctuary) one player is in the lower level, in the center. That player will dual opponents(often of their choice), the winner of the battle continues on to another round/opponent. When chosen you drop into the battle circle and commence dual.
