I mean it would be quite nice to know how you ranked against other posters ~ 1say for example a top 1000 list of all of the active posters. I think it would be a cool idea ~ to see how active you were on Bungie.net

I have added a list we can begin to form on our own. I am sorry if your name is not on here. If there is somebody on here you believe shouldn't be on here please post here and inform me. I hope we can at least build a makeshift list. I have added something next to popular ones. This isn't a list of the most POPULAR POSTERS , just the most active ones (IMO). List is in no particular order

1 alienwolve

2 rhythmkiller

3 sesquipadelian

4 mob death [in his various forms]

5 iceman assass1n

6 master kim [mainly the maw]

7 gladiator pie

8 conan9845

9 qsk j dik

10 viper venom

11 MLG Cheewawa (sorry if i misspelled).

I WOULD APPRECIATE IT IF PEOPLE WOULD NOMINATE PEOPLE. SORRY YOU CAN'T NOMINATE YOURSELF!!! IF SOMEBODY GETS 3 NOMINATIONS THEY GO UP. IF THEY GET 5 LEGITIMATE DE-NOMINATIONS THEY GO DOWN. .

Criteria for Nominating:
1: Active
2: Spam Doesn't count
3: Intelligent Posts
4: Personal Feelings don't count.
5: Have to reply/create threads. They can't just be intelligent, people who are intelligent but post 3 times a month shouldn't go up.

I hope we can create a spam free list. I guess a computer would be fooled.... but people....naaah. Post suggestions, etc

naw. Everyone can be active and it would just be a race to the top. That means spam, and low volume posts. No one likes when they make a good thread, then people come in and go "I don't like that thingy there."

You took the words out of my mouth. Agreed 100% spam=bad.

Why the hell are you looking at this? Get out.

And no group invites, you jerk. I'm not interested.

You could just make a thread and have anyone who's an extremely active person reply with "ME!" >_>

I dunno. People would probably just standbye and mod their way onto the leader board for kicks.

I logged into Bungie.net and all I got was this lame member rank.

Bad idea IMO...not only spam, but elitism runs while.

If you want to be a part of one of the greatest and most active communities in the seventh column, come here. You will thank me later.

There used to be post counters, but they start to be viewed in a "I have more posts than you do so I own" way, and were taken away.

You say tomato; I say potato.

Why do you need to see empirical evidence that proves that I'm better than you?

I think that most active counter would work okay. I don't mean a counter that actually shows how many posts a person has, but a little blurb about who is the most active for the day would be cool. It might allow people to get together more often and have a few good discussions. Something like what redvsblue.com has would be cool. Although it doesn't have to be as complicated as theirs.

A list isn't needed. Quality of posts is more important than number of posts.

Because you're not that active. Just there to post witty things that might inquire a persons interests on what Bungie really is.
I demand empirical evidence.

Do you see why this list is unnecessary?

(random yet funny signature goes here)

Amount of time on Bnet doesn't make for great posters, just look at the Flood(no offense floodians, you guys rock). To be honest the people that just chill out in the back and respond only when needed seem to be the best posters. There are a few people who post actual posts regularly, like iceman, instead of people that just say "yes" "no" or "i agree/disagree".

(10:19:49 PM) Scruss: oh and pezza, i saw what you did to that cat
(10:20:17 PM) Pezza: You were the one with the video camera breathing heavily. Of course you saw.

Your lucky I'm not that active anymore.

Such a list would only confirm that quality should be rewarded over quantity.

Or maybe I should post more ;)

  • 03.04.2007 8:54 PM PDT

It would encourage spamming (everybody would want their name on the list).

it would be cool to see, but in practice, it just makes every forum become the flood after a spam attack. I want a karma system though.

This community is not mature enough for that. Remember when your sign up date used to show up below your avatar? That was removed (but kept in your profile) after some people when stupid about who had been around b.net longer. I like the idea, but I doubt that it will be enjoyed more than abused.
