im afraid im gonna have to confiscate your testicles.

What are you, the Cyber police? lol.

Ok, so I know its been said in some places but im going to get this new graphics card. Its a POWERCOLOR R96-D3G Radeon 9600PRO 256MB 128-bit DDR AGP 4X/8X Video Card
I talked to a couple friends of mine and they said that sometimes there are graphics cards that are too good for halo. One said that his friend had one that was so good that every time he got on Halo he had to reboot because he was lagging out.
Is the graphics card im getting too good for Halo? I mean I still want to have good graphics and have a good game play experience at the same time. (Please no flamming. *Gets out Verbal flamming resistance shield*)

Your graphics card can never be too good for halo.

And your card isn't that good anyway.

How so? That doesn't make much sense for a card to be too good, especially in a game that's not dos based or something like that.

Of course that's in his opinion...you think he'd say someone else's opinion?
Your card isn't that good in terms of today, but for halo, it's plenty good enough.

Well I looked it up a little bit and found someone who had it and played Halo. He said he could play Halo with every thing on high and had ... 90 FPS? Or was it 100.

The difference between 30 fps and 100 fps isn't very visible.

And like I said, halo's old now, any modern card can play it fine.

Yes it is, I can notice it easily in halo.

and to the OP, forget the forget ati's 9 series and x series and everything other than nvidia's 6,7, and 8 series.

There is no such thing as a video card being "too good".

And like I said in the other topic, that will run Halo ok, but if you're willing to dish out another $27, this card will be quite a bit better.

ATI's 9500 cards rule, (i have one xD) I've got chrome graphics and everything set to high with 60 FPS.

lol
The GeForce cards may look faster, but where there's a fast GeForce card, there's something just as fast in ATI's repertoire.
