Seems fair. 2GHz processor is a bit steep for laptop users, mine is 1.83GHz, although it's a dual-core so I should be good for it.

yeah running DX9, that's actually pretty cool

I read in Games For Windows that Vista is running like 5-10% slow on DX9, or DX10, I can't remember which one

This is good news for me though, just need to get either a 7900 or 7600 or 7950

So it is paid subscription for "Live Anywhere" but I need not worry I got 13 months remaining on xbox live

I need to make sure my PSU is 500 watts plus so it runs well, then I need 1 GB RAM, which is awesome cuz I have 4 slots for RAM

It is people like you that make people like me need medication.

Damn. I guess I am going to have to upgrade my ram. Oh well. Could be a lot worse for me. LOL

Clowes said that you will not need to be a gold member to play Halo 2 multiplayer, and that players can set up open dedicated servers that anyone can play on, just like dedicated servers for other PC shooters. However, Halo 2 for the PC will also be the first game to allow players to set up dedicated Live servers.

most important part, no need to worry about having live.

Woot! I'm happy it doesn't support dx10! Cause if it did I would sure spend alot of money on a new video card! That's a few hundred saved for a rainy day!

Hmmh.. didn't they say at first that H2V will be running on dx10 ? Well anyways , my computer is just fine with these requirements stated =) .Just gotta get Vista Premium and a new harddrive ( its -blam!- my computer right now ) And i believe i can play it at 87% of goodness =D

Thats cool. My laptop should be able to run it, its a 1.16 Ghz proc but its dual core so that shouldn't pose much of a problem. All I need to do is get Vista Premium and I'm in. I might need to get more RAM to make up for my slow proc though (it is already 1 GB).

Ah, look at the lonely people...

*drools*

I'm gonna be upgrading my RAM to 2GB and Video Card to something better than what I currently have here shortly, as well as installing Vista on a second HDD... so I'm good to go.

I got everything on that list! Woot! But I'm worried if those are the minimal specs because I REALLY want to run it with all the settings up along with resolution. I pray!

It needs to say how much VRAM is needed. I'm guessing 128 MB.

My 3 year old laptop has a 2.1 ghz processor, I don't remember the model or brand, so don't ask.
It lacks everything needed for vista though (-blam!- graphics, 128mb ram, etc), thats why I threw it away and got a better laptop.

Forget VRAM, a geforce 7900gs with 256megs of ram is FAAAR better than a geforce 6200 with 512 megs of ram.

Are you mentally ill? The more VRAM the better. 512 MB is actually better than 256 MB, unless you were being sarcastic. My card actually has 345 MB.

No, the more RAM on a video card does NOT mean it's going to be better. It has more to do with the architecture that it is coded on, and not the Ram. Also, I'm 99% sure that there has never been a video card with 345mb of ram.

The box says 256 MB, but my DirectX Diagnostic Tool says 345 MB.

shared memory maybe?

still that slows your card down even more IMO

and i have a 6200, not that great of a card, possibly could run H2V at 640X800 at low textures
