If you don't got it, you want it. If you got it, you want more of it. Of course if you don't know what it is, it's hard to get any in the first place.
Edit 2: Groups up.
Edit: To those unfamiliar with PAX, or who just want to look at some details, here's the main website.PAX
PAX is a enormous gaming festival in Seattle, Washington from August 24-26, or so. It consists of a massive showroom ala E3 (but more down to earth), Over a hundred gamestations set up for SmashBros, Guitar Hero, and of Course Halo. PC gaming, Tournaments galore, Fantastic Keynotes from RvB and PA, as well as rocking concerts from MC frontalot.
Alright. I recently went and ordred my tickets for this summer's PAX, when I began to think about it all.
PAX is a huge event, and this year is bound to have countless more people than last year. It's also being held in a much bigger location thankfully.
I think that given PAX's nature as a celebration of gaming, and gaming culture, that it would be a perfect place for the Seventh Column to "rally", and show our support for not only Bungie, but gaming at large, and our unity as fans.
Are any other PAX attendee's interested in setting something up? Nothing concrete right now, just a general meet-and-greet (and later fragging), perhaps setting up some Halo LAN's (as well as Old-Skool Bungie games?) I think it could be a great chance for the community to really interact on a personal level.
Yes I know that the mighty beast known as PAX is still half a year away, but please bear with me. If you guys are receptive towards the idea then post, and when PAX's draws closer perhaps we can start really cementing things?
Edit: Just incase your on the edge about going, here's some personal testimoney. I missed PAX the first 2 years. And when I managed to make it the 3rd year, I was floored.
Despite the crowded conditions of the Mayden Bower center, It all felt "right". Thousands of gamers, all with a love of internet, Penny-Arcade, and more Wi-Fi DS than you could imagine. Dozens of PictoChats filled to the brim. MAsses of Guitar Hero tables, DreamCast games, Steel Battalion, Rooms full of PC's running games, Fans starting "waves", rocking out at concerts to MC Frontalot, and tourney's for all kinds of games.
Infact the only negative aspect was that I spent a good deal of time looking for Bungie employees, but forgot to check the Halo 2 tourney. XD And the Keynotes from Gabe and Tycho, as well as the annual RvB keynote are stellar. Any true gamer must experience them at least once. It's must see to believe, and this year it's at the Seattle Convention Center, so there'll be plenty of room this time.
