I'm not a mouse and keybored jockey, I didn't want to buy a game controller, so I used the cheapest possible method, my 360 controller.

You might want to give it a try, basically it's a program that emulates the 360 onto your computer and other technical stuff I don't know.

Download it here!

It works on any Windows OS but I don't think it's compatible with Macs, I'll check back to you on that.

Once on your computer, plug in your controller through USB. As a sidenote, using a wirelss controller with a play and charge kit DOES NOT work. I've tried. Once your controller is plugged in, a message comes up in the bottme right, click that and allow installation.

You should now be ready to harness the spirit of the 360. You might want to try Halo first to try it out.

To do your controls, go to gamepads and select on the right 360 controller for Windows, it will move to the left into your profile, go back to the change controls place. Switch to the controller where it says control type or somethinfg until 360 controller for Windows is viewed. To change a control, click on one(for example, jump in Movement) then on your controller press the corrosponding button that you want to use for that control. Easy.

Note: You cannot pause the game with your control to the furthest of my knowledge, you still need to use Esc

Suggested control scheme:

Start(Button 8) Start

Back(Button 7) Back

A(Button 1) Jump

B(Buttom 2) Melee

X(Button 3) Interaction. [u]Note: For best results, use X for object interaction of whatever it was called, as it only allows one function. You don't need to do reload and exchange weapon, just use X for interaction, that's the master setup.

Y(Button 4) Switch Weapons

Lb(Button 5) Flashlight

RB(Button 6) Switch Grenades

For the analog sticks, D-Pad and Triggers, this is too hard to explain and plain obvious to know what to use.

Have fun, there should be no problems using it and it feels just like if you were playing on your 360

One known problem I've had, sometimes the sticks become like the arrow keys, making it hard to move, but that only lasts for 2 minutes.

Some of you heard of this or used it, I'm jsut spreading the word ;)

Um, I just think you should know, many PC shooters, such as Halo, support gamepads. I've heard of mouse and keyboards emulating gamepads (for example, platform emulators, Xbox mouse and keyboard adaptors), but never the other way around.

I want to say something though--wouldn't it be better to play PC games that don't support controllers with mice and keyboard, since that's what the games were meant to be played with?

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

Mine works fine on Halo PC on XP or Vista without some additional software.

Windows detects it, and then you can set it up within Halo PC.
