I play the Japanese version of Halo and there seems to be no way to manually save the game. Does Halo have a manual save option or not as everything is in Kanji and Ive had to play through the game by leaving my XBOX running all day in order to get through the longer levels on legendary. Thanks for any help.

Why do you have the Japanese version?

Are you in JP? I am in Fukuoka, JP.

He's talking about saving anywhere.

Also, one thing that ticked me off about saving is that there was no way to go to the main menu from in-game without having to save.

If you press 'start' and select the 'save and quit' option, it should save it from the last checkpoint you passed. When you you want to load that game, select that level from the Campaign screen and it should say 'You have a game in progress'. Done!
