One more try...

For the love of all that is sweet and holy, give us the option to switch to something bright and nice-looking. I've stared at this blue and black crap for three years, hoping that the new new hawtness would look much nicer. If that screen is the theme throughout, i may just have to go get some bright lights to balance out the pit of darkness on my right-hand monitor whenever i view b.net.

Acting like pre and post pubescent idiots who feel confident behind Internet anonymity? Even though it's applicable to the majority of our members, we ask that they not do that here.

This is the second time they changed the theme. Damn CSS themes. They're overrated :P.

You guys just noticed this picture? You could've discussed it in The News portion of this forum. *sigh* when will you guys ever learn that different forums are for different things. But I guess since it didn't start in here, it'll have to end here.

It's much better design than the current site, it uses the available screen real estate in a much better fashion. Although, it's very, very cluttered. If I had to choose, I would probably take the current B.net over that.

My thoughts exactly.

Too many sites*cough*IGN*cough* have too much going on at once. You don't know what to direct your attention to. I'm sorry to say, but I like our homepage the way it is.

And yes, forum screens please.

I agree that IGN has too much going on all on one screen. Gamespot also tends to do that. It is nice that Bungie has cleaner, less cluttered look.

Frank O'Connor is a 12-year veteran of the videogame magazine industry and has therefore never worked an honest day in his life.

Does the jobs page really need to be on the front page???

YEAH, PWN THAT FEETUS!

I think that we should have some option to choose what we see on the front page. Like Top Stories, Community News, Latest threads from a forum of your choice, ETC.

Ehh...maybe not. I just don't see it working. I do wish that we could see a picture of the forums though.

You people have just sent my sides into orbit. A bunch of MLG try hards sucking the dick of some supposed pro half the thread hasn't even heard of. Classic.

It seems pretty good. I do like how there is a link on the page to link your gamertag. That should help out a bit.

Let the speculation run riot that it'll have a significantly increased purpose in the newest version of the site.

This just in - Bungie, a studio who has a logo that is darker (blue, mostly), has a darker website!!!!

Yeah, I think you're screwed, elmicker. But at least the group themes will probably have a few lighter ones.

And you'll like the forum... although we did something a little different with the profile block. I think it is an improvement, anyway.

A lot under the hood is changed to make content easier, so it is now Frankie's fault if the site updates section is never used. There is a new content system and a layout control system that I may end up allowing groups to use if I can work out a few of the kinks.

AJAX sure is fun. By the way, Javascript is required on the new site, but it should work much better with non-IE browsers than it did before.

And it should load much, much, MUCH faster. Only 5 style sheets, and very few images.
