I mean it gets kind of annoying that people will just vote in a poll, but not bump it. Maybe it should give you a half bump or something..... because popular polls usually go away because people just vote in them. Its forum activity, so it means people care about it.

I have also thought about this, and I agree with you on this all the way.

EDIT- I did think that, but after theses posts I have read I can safely say, no.

So If I created a poll, and see that its dropping off the page, I could easily clear my cookies and vote again to bump it to the top without anyone ever knowing that I did it myself.

That's the problem I see in it.

No offense, but I think your concern is moot. I betcha the large majority of people are like me, they leave a comment about the poll topic, but never vote.

Actually, I find my self voting in a poll without posting quite often. This sounds like an alright idea.

A popular poll will stay on the first page. This feature wouldn't help.

If the pool was popular, people would post and give their opinion anyway. ;)

You're basically saying if everyone makes their thread a poll, they'll get bumped more, instead of having actual discussion being required. Whoo.

*enables feature*
*all posts become Polls from now on*

Maybe every 5 or 10 votes, but that'd be way too hard to track without exploding the system.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

I'm with Zag on this one.... polls would just become the new way of bumping posts. Successful polls stay alive because of lively discussion. I say keep it that way.

If they were to implement this, every topic would have a poll, thanks to the new "bump" feature.

I wouldn't get my hopes up.

You little rat...I was so thinking every 10 votes while reading these first few posts. I agree with rat, maybe even to the point of every 20 votes.

I find that most people vote but don't comment.

A thread goes to the top of the list because something new has been contributed. Bumping because someone clicked a button... eh?!

There's a reason there's no "vote email notification" on YouTube.

Hey Recon agreed with me, so I'm right. He once told me that he killed a hobo just to watch him die. I didn't believe him. Then he showed me a human thumb inside a mason jar, and I have never doubted him since. Never!

Every thread would then come with a poll attached - with the most rediculous attention-grabbing choices possible (in order to tempt people into voting).

All topics would become flooded with "I like pie" posts too. (Do you like my thread? "Yes", "No", "I like Pie").

Agreed. There are already enough polls that contain "I like Pie." By now we all know that you like pie.

Illegitimate polls are already banned. For example only having one choice = banned.
