I think Vista is about two years too late.

Well Iggwilv said there was one that I could download that wasn't too late that fixes a freezing problem or something. He couldn't find it so he told me to ask here.

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

Damned Link

I bookmarked it for next time. The problem with finding it is that Bungie doesn't have a link to it anywhere on their site. You have to manually find it through a search engine or through a link on a non-Bungie site.

It didn't solve my problem. The game freezes and then when I minimize it there is a popup bubble saying "Display driver 'nvlddmkm' stopped responding and has successfully recovered" and I get disconnected from the server.

re-install your video driver and DX version, sounds like one of them got corrupeted, or there are still buggs in the DX10 nVidia drivers.

Which is why I plan on waiting about a few months after Vistas release to get it. Possibly in the summer, when they fix most of the major bugs will I get it.

There aren't any compatibility problems with Halo and Vista though.

All the "patch" as it is being called does is to remove the warning pop-up that appears when you start the game up. It doesn't change anything within the game because it works with Vista.

Thank you. I was beginning to think I was the only one here who knew that it's not Microsoft's job to update and fix bugs for Vista Drivers. It's the companies like Nvidia, ATI, and Creative, etc.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

I said "major bug" very specifically, I do not count driver incompatability a Vista problem, as obviously it is not Vista that is supposed to work with a driver, it's the other way around.

His complaint about ripped DVD playback is only worth mentioning because it is laughable.

The only real problem with VISTA itself is the power saving options, the rest are either not directly Vista related, in that it's other software that's at fault for not being compatable, or minor features that were likely overlooked.

But I did not read anything about a real bug, or "major bug", everything listed there is, as I said, either minor, or is quite frankly acceptable as being a just released issue, Microsoft and the software maker themselves will come up with something soonish, but from what I have seen, there is zero, nada, squat, bug or problem in Vista that will be such an inconvience to me as to make my using it not great. Of course I have yet to use it so that doesn't bar any change in general use of various features from changing my tune, but I hate people playing the Bug card with Vista when there are no mentionable bugs in it.

Why is everyone so "cut-throat?" Sheesh :)
We're talking about Vista bugs for christ's sake (or lack-there-of). No need to get so angry lol.

Although I must agree that's its probably better to wait a bit for all the driver problems and whatnot to get fixed by everyone before getting a copy in Vista.

Cheers.
