I, for one, use the messeging system on XBOX Live quite a bit, aswell as the PM system here at B.net. However, I seem to be confronted when I am on B.net browsing through my online friends. I cannot talk with them unless I messege them while being online. If one can look at which friends are on Live and what they are playing, then I think that being able to messege online users from B.net would be a good thing to have.

If I am on B.net, and see that a buddy of mine is playing UNO or something, I might want to messege him "Hey retard, let's go do some double team in 20 min", without having to sign into Live. I also think that messeging people on B.net from Live would be an asset worth having. This all may take up too much space, but it allows for more connectivity between players, teammates, and friends. Knowing when a clan member or friend is going to be on is a daunting task to keep up with. Notification through B.net would seem to help this endeavor a bit more.

Thoughts, complaints, pro's/con's?

-Quaere verum.

Got a report? Use the report tool or send a pm.
Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

I -think- there may be some compatibility issues with this so i'm not sure how possible it would be; though it would be pretty cool. In the meantime, did you know you can send messages to your friends (from your computer) via xbox.com?

I'll be on my own side.

You can send text messages to your friends in UNO from Xbox.com.

Bah, GP beat me to it.

Wow GP, I did not know this. Although, it still seems like messeging through B.net would be simpler than having to open another window and signing in etc etc. I think that having a "messege" button beside each person on your friends list would be cool.

Pssst.....it's every game on the xbox360.

*Ahem* I do suggest typing through xbox.com to your friends. Yea, I know, I seen your post about it being easier if it were from bungie's main web site. I am just saying that you should use xbox.com till/if there is such a thing implemented. And quite frankly, I don't really see a point for this since there already is something like it, and yes, I probably wouldn't use it.

From what I have seen is the Consumer Electronic show when Bill gates was showing off Windows Vista. I think we can expect to see much more compatibility with the games and a windows Vista Operating system soon. As for Bungie.net Microsoft owns them I’m sure if they ask nicely Mr. Gates will look into his heart. (But don’t expect it he lost it during the 1998 presentation of Windows 98 during the computers blue screen of death)
