All I am trying to say if bigger forums can handle avatars and Bungie.net cannot ,that means there is a flaw with Bungie.net. And if this flaw continues, much chaos will arise.
Dear user, thank you for your suggestion, however Achronos has, numerous times, explained he will never allow the use of such emoticons.

Please, in future, do not present your opinion as fact - it only represents a fraction of the ideals of the community. Repeatedly saying the word 'flaw' does not make it a fact, please realise it is a conscious choice of the management to forbid the use of such facilities.

This thread is over, it is a moot point, unless Achronos has a sudden flip in ideals, they will not be adopted by this board.

Why do other forums allow avatars and this one does not. That means there is a flaw with Bungie.net

Oh dear, when will people realize that bungie is not other sites? When will they ever realize that bungie will never be like other sites? In my opinion, and I hate to be blunt, but if you want emotion icons and custom avatars, go to another site. Bungie will never have anything to do with emotion icons and avatars.

Note: The avatars part is an assumption.

Don't forget that this is a Bungie website, therefor your avatar of a Toyota Supra would be out of place. And it's more than that; copyright infringement and all that technical paper mojo. It's the reason I can't have the avatar that I originally planned on using. :(

I understand what the guy is saying, forums just as large, Something Awful, for example allow custom avatars. The difference here is that this forum is made up primarily of younger folk and younger folk are, in general, much more immature than their older counterparts.
