what about breakdown? I never played the real game, but OXM said the plot was sooooooo good that it beat Halo's plot.

Where's Silent Hill 1&2? FF VII? Max Payne? RE: Code Veronica? I'm sure there are a lot more that I could mention, but those were the ones that immediately came to my mind...

Where the heck is the Marathon option? Ignorance...grr. You should probably be posting this on IGN or Gamespot anyways, like Frag Master mentioned.

Ehh... Fanboy, I am, but Marathon is the video game story. It beats out any other, crossing genres and any other presumed boundaries placed on games in general with it's incredible depth. Also, I heartily agree with the quality of writing for Durandal (though Tycho and all the other A.I.'s were extremely fun to read). Personally, as I see more and more games come out, and more stories in general, the lines between good, evil, virtue and vice become more blurred, and the simple shock value of a story is valued over it's actual content. Plot twists are fun, but they aren't the only thing that makes a story great. My vote then, whether it is on this poll or not, goes for Marathon as a series.

Metal Gear Solid 2's story was good because of the fact that if you really think about it,all of what is said in the game could actually happen. It really makes you think at the end you know. And isn't Twin Snakes sort of the same thing as the first Metal Gear on ps1?I'm not sure because I never played it.

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

Sorry I couldn't fit EVERY game in the poll :P

In reference to Mastergrunt's Q, Twin snakes is the first MGS on PS1, just redone on the gamecube. The story has a huge twist. I don't really like the gamecube, at all, but I enjoyed twin snakes a lot. And Yes, I realized after asking the Q that it was a bit of a mistake putting in Halo because I knew everyone would pick it. I learned from my mistake and in a poll at my chapter right now, I added in Besides Halo 2...

Metal Gear Solid: Tactical Espionage Action is the best story in any game i have ever played. I know i The Twin Snakes is a remake of it, but i havn't played it so i don't know if anything if different. The story telling in MGS is brilliantly done and has some great twists in it. Finding out Master Miller was Liquid was a great twist, and one that i never would have guessed or expected. MGS is my favorite game to this day, and MGS 2: SOL is my second favorite simply for the great plot, though the end of MGS 2 gets really bizzare and unrealistic. I can't wait for MGS 3.

If i went for gameplay, halo would win, but as far as a plot, halo doesn't explain almost anything. It just throws you in the action with no reason. If you wanna know why you're there you have to read the books.
