Uninstall, get rid of profiles, and let it sit for a week, geezz, how many times do I have to tell you? It did the same thing to my old laptop, and that particular meathod fixed it, and retarded as it sounds. Try 256 MB more RAM, just in case though, you need an upgrade anyway.Okay, anything with computers software wise doesn't use time when you can do things right away. It was coincidence it worked for you or you changed system files.
Anyway, fastmatt, try this, when installing halo, install it to a different folder, it's default is, C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo, try making it C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\HaloPC or something.
