Im just wondering whats going to happen to H2V on multiplayer, will we keep the flamethrower and the fuel rod gun which we have all learn to love and enjoy. Or will we just get halo 2 for the pc and nothing speacial. I just want to know will we get new maps, weapons, and vehicals that the xbox crowd didnt get.

So please send in your opinions on this.

I know that all you halo pc gamers would love to see sequls to Danger Canyon and Death Island

Well I think in Halo 2 for Xbox they took the Fuel Rod gun from multiplayer. And I think they got rid of flamethrower entirely, but I haven't heard if they're going to do everything Halo 2 Xbox did.

I don't think bungie is puting in any new vehicles or weapons, but they are puting in a fully functional map editor, so sommone will mod them in.

The H2 toned down FRG will no doubt be added in to multiplayer, whether it be by Hired Gun or some modder.

FRG and Flamethrower could have been alright in MP if balanced properly. FRG would need to either cause less damage, or have a much slower rate of fire and higher rate of overheating.. cause its current state it's the uber spam weapon of lameness. Flamethrower, the damage is very random, and depending on the graphics settings you don't even see the trail...

IMHO, the flamethrower and frg aren't exactly as unbalanced as everyone says they are. Sure in close quarters they are hard to deal with, but the people that usually use them end up killing themselves in the process of using them.

I will sometimes pick up the flamethrower, if there's nothing better to use at the time. But I sure don't feel super confident using it, especially against experienced players. And 99% of the time, I pass up the frg. It's good against a fully loaded hog, and fair to use in that situation. But with the blindspot, and the fact that the splash damage could accidentally kill half your team, it's just not worth the trouble.

Certainly on smaller maps heavies can be a bit unfair, but for the most part, I could care less if others are "noobin" with them. Respawn, remember their position, and shoot them from a distance. Problem solved.

they are giving us a freaking map editor how can they expect us not to mod?

think before you post.

And plus PC users don't use live, they use the internets to play their games.

they expect you to create custom maps ala Timesplitters or Far cry:Instincts not to mod the game by dropping flamethrowers into Gemini

It's not a built in map maker like those games. It involves building it from the ground up with the very tools Bungie uses. We will be allowed to mod the game. In the PC world, modding isn't used for cheating, as we mod to make the game fun.

I know there is H2V HEK and i know that people would put them in if bungie didnt.

AND WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE FLAME AND FRG. People usally kill them selfs when using them and they are not that unbalanced people just say that cause they cant aim well enough to kill someone with one. rocket launcher > FRG, flame thrower < sniper rifle. every weapon has a weakness and strengh. Not knowing how to use them dosn't mean you can say they are "horriable" and "unbalanced" is pathetic of people to do.

Plus i was asking for opinions not complaining about weapons or other crap like that. The pc version of halo had 6 maps, 2 weapons, and 1 new vehical that the xbox didnt have; so im asking for opions on new vehicals/weapons/maps ideas for things mabey for people in the future to use when making things with the HEK and possibly (not really possible) insperation of the bungie gods to include these into the H2V or at lest make an update of halo 2 that will have said things in it.

Im not so angry at the opinions as much as the coments on weapons people don't even or ever try to use. The flamethrower is from the orginal halo game, ITS PATTERN IS ON OUR MAW FOURM SIGN. The FRG is a neat weapon that makes sense and is not unbalanced. It's arching firing and weak power on shields and is somthing that makes it an excellecnt anti-vehical weapon other than just nades and RL. I dont need to get criticized on my thoughts or ideas (i do that myself) that bungie should or mabey put in H2V. !!OK!!

I read the FAQ for halo 2 vista and it said nothing about weapons/vehicals/maps that we already have it just said nothing new would be released. It didnt say anything about getting rid of old weapons/vehicals/maps. And isn't anyone angerd or slightly ticked that we arn't givin anything special. I would like to see the human machete and the vulcan somewhere in there HEK made or official.

"Oh and that reminds me what about other things that are unbalanced like the pistol, needler, banshee, etc." the list go's on and on. Its commoun for things to be thougnt to be unbalanced in games, exspecialy when your getting beaten by them. Get over it, everything has weakpoints and strong points. learn them and use them. please dont argue on this now just say your opinions on the topic now. K

FRG is over-powered and is unfinished. It was meant to be projectile-based and reloadable after four shots, just like the H2 FRG. With its "battery" you can literally clear out a base if you storm it with two guys wielding FRG's, considering two consecutive shots (which don't over heat) will kill someone, not to mention the splash damage as well. It's not like as if their projectiles are slow-moving either.

It needs some serious tweaking.

The flamethrower would be useless in most Halo 2 maps and the new FRG which features a four shot clip would be ridiculously over powered to boot. Plus it apparently causes lag

I think you are forgetting that the FRG caused framerate issues... on the Xbox. :)

Even if it does take up that much processing power, PCs will be able to handle it.

I think its funny that people are complaining that the Flamethrower is unbalanced, when the energy sword is in H2V.
