Everyone knows moderators perform Elitism on us regular members. They think their better than us, and they seperate themselves from us with their white text and god-like powers and talk behind our backs in their little A-List club. It's sickning really, we should all be equals, and we should respect one another for the content we speak, not the color of the very text it's in, or the title under their little fancy avatar. Some people think we should remove moderator-ism from this site to acheive perfect balance and respect, thus ending Elitism. But that's just -blam!- dumb. To get this perfect unity, I suggest instead of removing moderator-ism, we should allow it to everyone. All will be equal and all will be respected. All forms of Elitism will be abolished. No more A-List clubs, but instead a gathering of all.

Comments please.

Why. It's a perfectly valid idea.

-Quaere verum.

Got a report? Use the report tool or send a pm.
Chairleg Productions presents: 'Console Wars' and 'Games as Art?' (also on Halo Waypoint).

Firstly, try to get your facts straight and stop assuming things which aren't true. Moderators are not elitist regardless of what you may think.

Secondly, as we've already argued in a similar thread, the abolition of moderators would be a very bad move as would giving all members power. Sorry, but it's not going to happen...unless Stosh gets hold of Achronos’s PC again.

I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day this Bungie nation will rise up... live out the true meaning of its creed. We hold these truths to be self-evident that all b.net members are created equal!

Now is the time to lift our Bungie nation from the quicksands of moderator injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood!

Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of Bungie's children!

So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of Delta Halo,

Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of Lockout,

Let freedom ring from the heightening spaceship In Amber Clad,

Let freedom ring from the gates of Zanzibar,

Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of the Control Room,

But not only that, let freedom, ring from the Silent Cartographer,

Let freedom ring from the Covenant battleships,

Let freedom ring from every hill and molehill of Coagulation, from every mountainside,

Let freedom ring,

And when this happens, and when we allow freedom ring, when we let it ring from every computer and every Xbox, from every Halo and every spaceship, we will be able to speed up that day when all of Bungie's children, moderators and regular members, Halo 1 fanboys and Halo 2 fanboys, XBox and XBox 360 owners, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old spiritual, "Free at last, free at last. Thank God Almighty, we are free at last!"

Edit: Slightly more bad jokes added.

Honestly Raven I have no idea where you are getting at. When I read the title I though that this may be a good idea. Then I come in here and see this. What ever gave you the idea that moderators think that they are better than us? Honestly, they are how you perceive them, how you think they are. If you see them as equals, they are equals, if you see them as a higher power, then they are a higher power. Hell, if you seem them as scum, then well, their scum. It is all how you perceive them to be. For example: Your view is not the same as mine. The moderators are normal people like you and I, just with janitor duty. However, from the sounds of it, to you moderators are far better then us, when in reality; they are us.

You see, there is a fine line between being elitist, and seeing through a personal perspective. This is of perspective, not elitism. Elitism is when someone thinks that they are personally better than anyone else because they have a higher game level in halo, or because they can say they have a "life". However, perspective is a completely different thing. Some people view others as dirt, say people that dislike JAVA24 just because he is "different". While others view him as a normal person, and respect him. Same goes with moderators. Some people view them as dirt, and thus, do not follow what they are asked to do. Others view them as equals, then there are some that view them as a higher power.

So, I think I may have interpreted your post incorrectly, but this is how I interpreted your post. I am deeply sorry if this is not what you were intending.

Edit: Forgot the second part.

I do not believe everyone being "equal" is not a very good idea. Allowing immature members to moderate would be a catastrophe. So, I say no with complete confidence. This idea would not work, nor will it ever. Every site needs moderators, bungie is no exception.

Moderators are just an illusion of well being and peace. If all were one, the Bungie community will rise above the hands of these monsters and put them down into their place. We will recover, as I dreamt a golden age after the rebellion.

How are moderators just an illusion when they are true to what they do? How are they an illusion if they are the ones that sacrifice their time to keep our community clean from foul? How are they an illusion if they are the ones that will do anything in their power to stop idiots from roaming? How are they monsters when they are equal? How are they monsters when they are literally the protectors?

The bungie community has already risen. The site is huge, there are members everywhere, so many that I cannot even count that high.

How so? They produce the harmony we all see. They produce help among us. They consume nothing. Now, say spammers. They consume everything. From people hopes and dreams to little children's virgin eyes. All they ever produce is pages and pages of worthless junk.

Controlling fission events without incident since May, 2012.

You're right! we should be able to edit everyone's posts, I mean, look how great it's doing for wikipedia. No vandalism there at all.

You seriously should have thought this over before posting it. A new member is automatically allowed to moderate?

What the hell is wrong with you. Sure some of the mods can be asses at times, but you can't tell me Timmy the spammer is going to do as good a job. The Forums would be destroyed within hours, possibly minutes, if this was put into effect, ever. Please proceed to bash your skull in.

Note: The bashing in of said skull should take effect as soon as possible.

(What the hell is the point to a joke rant? Seriously.)

Of course not. I'm surprised at the serious feedback. I was expecting a lighter turnout.

Then, was this thread really neccassary? Why waste peoples time explaining this to you if you had never been serious? I just don't understand what this accomplished. Why make a thread if you are not serious?

2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Because some people really don’t have anything to do, but alas this is a forum. I suggest this be locked soon to avoid the impending flame.
