The End

‘The conscious is cancerous if allowed to linger’

"Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there."

Click this and see...

I think it would make it a lot better. We also need a forum working [Img]Image url[/img*] (with the * removed) tag for posting images.

I don't really like having all kinds of colors and different text sizes on the threads; it gives me a headache trying to read them. I really only like different-colored text as a way to separate authority levels from the masses.

[img] tags would be cool, but there are people who would abuse them.

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

Most of those are, in my opinion, not too useful. We have the quote button to cover some of those. Colors aren't coming back, Achronos doesn't like them. Thread advertising is against the rules, and we have quote features that allow you to label links. If you must link a thread, just describe it. Image links won't happen, Achronos doesn't trust us not to post pr0n everywhere, I can't see him allowing Highlight either.

I like the [left] [center] and [right] ideas though, as well as an indent.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

Yes, there were colors and font sizes here, and it resulted in an explosion of crap. They're not coming back, I don't think.

I would, however, like to see those options available in groups. Maybe not font sizes, but colors would be cool. See prometheus25's thread based on this idea by clicking here.

its like a large force of win going through fusion, thus creating a chain reaction of a huge asplosion of win destroying any fail within its awesomeness.

No. A clean forum is a happy forum.

Strange evolution how people have come to believe
That we are it's greatest achievement
We're barely, we're just a collection of cells
Overrating themselves

Bungie.net is the easiest to read forum I have seen (excluding the Terminal group skin), lets leave it that way.

When the colors were available, my retinas expanded/contracted approximately 41,200 an hour.

Images have never been allowed. This discussion has taken place a million and one times and it should be readily apparent as to why Bungie doesnt allow images.

Once upon time, not too far away.... Actually, in this very land of Bungie, lived many happy village inhabitants. One day, The Good King Achronos lifted the ban on colorful spraypaint. The village goers enjoyed this new improvement. Or so it seemed.

Then came the evil creatures from the north, the Spamikai, who not only were incredibly hideous in appearance, but also had the minds of small, malnurished children in a candy shop. They slowly moved into the land of Bungie, as many in the land of Bungie are acceptably hideous in appearance, without many confrontations or arguments with the common village folk.

Of course, this all soon changed. The Spamikai took all of the priviledges the Bungians held dear, such as the lift on the colorful spraypaint ban, and the little badge all the members of the community wore; "Resident Since:", and the Spamikai took these priviledges and abused them. This left the Bungians sad, and torn apart because of such abuses.

Let this be a lesson to ye.

And some say, even to this day, you can see the Spamikai milling about in the shadows in the land of Bungie...

Shishka would have given you a B+ if you didn't start out with "Once upon a time"........so cliche.

We already have a section to show users the tags they can use. I'm assuming the newer hawtness will have something like this still. Possibly even have wysiwyg forum posting system? Actually, i hope not.

I like the indent and alignment stuff, but I'm pretty sure someone would align their post all to the right just to screw with people. I don't know, maybe if the alignment wouldn't be too annoying. We need indents, because I'm tired of double spacing between paragraphs.

All of these Ideas have been applied here before, and failed. Someone probably posted an offensive picture, and if it was brought back we would see millions of posts with pancake bunnies.

For the record, I was first shown that picture by a Bungie employee. ;)

If anything was appropriate, it'd be the picture of the bunny with a pancake on it's head.. However, nothing is appropriate, so.. No pictures!

I think it would be cool if we could add extra features in our own groups such as the adminastrator types in yellow (Like important bungie folks) or we could even have an option of [colour=value]blam![/colour] to togle in our groups. Things like that give us more freedom and perhaps get us to understand why features have been removed! Anyways, just a suggestion.

Yes, we've had the colour in groups discussion. Thing is, it would have been difficult to allow colour tags only in group forums (or so i hear).

Colour tags in the main forums is never going to happen again because Achronos is an immortal being. However, if we're extra lucky, we might just see some colour being allowed in groups (other than for news) after they come back.

Yeah, does anyone have a clue when the groups will be back. I feel like a kid at christmas dieing to see my new, awesome looking group! I am dieing here, killed by the new hawtness' opening salvo!

Come check out the The Christian Halo Union. Whether you’re looking for fellowship, intelligent discussion, positive gamers, or maybe you just want to have fun, you'll find it with us. With over 650 members and counting, we're the most active Christian group on Bungie.net.

I can see why Bungie doesn't allow image posting; but, to be honest, GameSpot.com allows images and is probably 5+ times this size of this place, and I've never seen a bad image posted there. (Been there for over a year.)

As for colored text, I would probably kill myself if the people in my group starting posting with it. It would be -blam!- "rainbow forums."

It would be nice if Group Moderators posted with the orange text like the site mods do, though. (Only in groups.)
