I love chips!

Is fsaa on by default on the pc as the mac version asks you if you want it turned on and at what level. So how do I turn it on on the pc version? :D
Thanks

What PCs can do that Macs can't.

Aside from the standard Mac abuse, Halo PC doesn't do FSAA. Sorry.

you judge a game as "superior" just because it supports FSAA?

Just to clear things up, but does the HEK work with Halo Mac? Serious here, because if it doesn't, then, well...yea. If it does, then I will have to put effort into explaining how the lack of THE RIGHT MOUSE BUTTON may limit Halo Mac's gameplay a bit.

Just a bit.

The bungie.net community is the halo PC community that is renowned for being unbelieveably sucky.

When Halo PC was released in late '03, there were no video cards that could handle the game with anti-aliasing at higher resolutions. Technically, there is no reason why the game cannot run with AA. In fact, a long time ago, if you forced AA via your control panel, you would get a warning message stating basically, "Halo does not support full screen anti-aliasing continue anyway?" At one point, you actually could play with AA. I got it running with my 9800pro...it was a slideshow ~ maybe average of 10fps but as low as 1-3fps. At some point support for AA was removed entirely with one of the updates.

Now that we have hardware that could handle AA pretty well with the game, there are no updates to correct the issue.

Well I don't know about Full Screen AA, but I do know that when I turn on AA in my nVidia interface, I see smoother lines, so meh...

Haha, I love the Tbag in the Mac vs. PC. God I hate Macs. Only people that don't know how to use computers use Macs (old people, young people, dumb people).

Wow. And WHY do you flame peaple that use an operating system thats different from yours? Just because you dont use it/dont like doesnt mean you have to flame peaple that use and like the different os. I have both mac and windows, and frankly, I prefere mac. But I dont flame you pc users and say that mac is better. Its quite imature that you guys do that. How old are you guys? 5?

Most of the PC issues posted here are the result of PEBKAC.

Can you play any good games on that Mac? I hope you like iTunes and it's old silver look, and don't forget Quicktime, with the same look and design it had a decade ago. And the overpriced packages. I'm not paying $999 for the basic Mac, it's garbage.

Anyway, I don't usually force AA on Halo, so at this point I assume it doesn't work.

Just so you know, you have failed to convince me that mac sucks. Maby you dont like it, so what? I dont give a damn whether you like mac or windows.
Let me put it this way: You have windows. You like it an prefer it. In your opinion, it is better because you like it better. For you, it IS the best.
I Have both and I prefer mac. So for me, it IS the best because i prefer it. It pretty much is a physiological thing.

I dont know if that made any scence, but oh well.

Actually it didn't. A physiological thing implies that a Mac has a characteristic of a biological organism. Do you have one growing from your leg or something?

I'm going to go out on a limb and assume you meant psychological thing...

It's been proven that PCs are superior gaming machines. But if you want to use Macs, that's fine.

I must but in and bump this, but I have a 7800 GT, and I run Halo PC in a window at 1280x960. I boost my FSAA to 8X in my control panel but It's still as jagged as ever and doesn't perform any worse. Is there a hack for HPC to do FSAA. I can't seem to find it.

Dont ask questions. Just shoot.

This thread has about as much sense as people arguing which music they like.

Heres something for you lot to chew on.

While you lot can argue about which is best till the cows come home, only a MAC user said its about personal choice.

So by default, most of you are making PC users look like bigoted morons.

By the way, I dont like MACs, but I realise thats my opinion, not because they are inferior.

I hope these people know that Bungie made all their games first on the mac, halo was coming to Mac before Microsoft bought them.

I see this argument all the time and it's a poorly thought out one. People say, "If Macs didn't exist then there wouldn't be any bungie and therefore no Halo." I beg to differ, if there wasn't any Macs Bungie would have just made their games for Windows in the first place.

But arguing about operating systems is useless, Windows people will say they are the best, Mac people the same...And to a much lesser extent Linux people. If a guy wants to use a Mac let him, and keep using your operating system of choice.

I'm a Windows person myself.
