Boston Celtics - World Champs (2008)
After 22 years another championship flag is up in Boston,
the 17th Title on the 17th of June, 2008

Great job, love it very much.

The site looks beautiful.

I haven't seen a negative comment yet... interesting...

I like the site, and I'm glad that that annoying little navigation bar on the bottom is gone. That always pissed me off. When do you guys think that the groups will be up again?

The truth is out there. We're just not looking in the right places.

It looks polished. Still trying to get used to the site though.

I think they said a few weeks. Too bad we can't use the groups in the old format untill they're ready.

I really like the new look. Took me about a day or so to get use to it. It seems Jeremiah ( Ninja on Fire ) got a new rank: avius custos , for the New Hawtness V2 or was it something more...All in all nice work.

(becuase then i could get a vision camera and have a custom avatar, HAHAHA!!!)

and what are we supposed to do with all this talent if we cant share avatars or sigs?

Now that you've taken the time to look at my sig, I actually regret not providing you with something more worthwhile.

You apparently didn't read anything I said along the way then.

If the death of any and all Bungie employees would bring back the old hawtness, the next weekly update would be a remembrance of the departed and a tale of how one forum goer finally lost it.

If I were perfect then this would be easy.

Hahaha. If you read this post before I edited I found it! Sorry but I just didn't expect it to be right there on the nav like that. I'm soooooo accustomed to phpbb.

The new Bungie.net forums, a work in perfection. Err... how does that saying go again?

I like it. The only thing that I dont like so far is that I have to look across the width of the page to see posts... Ill have to get used to that.

I think the site looks alot better with all the new features and stuff, but I like the old way on looking at stats and my friends list. It was alittle faster and less stuff to go through. Sometimes simpler is better for me.

The site looks good... but what's with the signatures? Why in the Halo have they been hidden in the avatars?

Make sense, since people would be at an all time high of PM's from the Soul aboot forum behaviours. And some people may not have the maturety for that (*coughs and says names of anyone with a low maturety*) (that was lame beyond lame...).

It's not that hard to keep the avatars under control when you can have custom avatars. I've seen other sites do it.

ps: I love the new look for the stats.

I can never figure out what all the ranks are on b.net. It goes something like member, then vetran member, then ning=ja, then something else, something else, b.net overlord.

Their are no Ranks, their is only "member" ranks would show elitism.

Though their are security roles for moderators and staff.

Member (normal member)
Theme master (someone who makes a theme?)
Forum Ninja (moderator)
Master Forum Ninja (master Moderator)
Overlord (bungie.net overlord)

though their are more security roles, they are only given to bungie employee's?

The site looks like every other POS gaming portal site out there. To be honest I am very disappointed.

There I said it...

To elaborate I think that the construction of the site was done very well and am glad to see the absence of the flash navigation and the adoption of CSS. However after seeing what Bungie has to offer from a graphics/artists end, this site just lack all the way around.

* There doesn't seem to be any consistent thought in the typography.
* The ratios of spacing and sizes are all over the place (this site is actually worse on the natural flow of the eye than the last... I mean look at the footer and the columns on the main page).
* There is no real contrast in the site to stop a person from scanning to grab their attention with something new.
* Cross browser support is just not here, for example on the profile pages in FireFox wrapping text overlays the previous line, I am just shocked it was released in this condition.
* There are dead links or anchor tags all over the site.
* The icon graphics are poorly constructed and offer no kind of iconography.

Bottom line, a let down. I mean Bungie can push out a release date of a game over and over until its just right yet we wait for years for a new site and too be honest it looks like they did it within a weeks time and didn't even bother to test it much less blue print it. I hope Halo 3 is getting more love.

PS. I have been doing web sites for about 7 years now so I do know a little something about web 101 design principles. I am not trying to be mean, just trying to offer up some constructive criticism. Looking forward to Halo 3!

This apple is brown, and rotten. This orange on the other hand, is in relatively average shape. So the orange is definitely the preferable option.
----------You can't compare apples and oranges. You're so dumb.

So i finally got my computer running again and boy was i surprised when i got on bungie.net. Great job!

The site is designed for a minimum 1024x768 display now (which is a resolution bump from the previous site). Signatures are in an overlay triggered when you mouseover an avatar.

Shiny. My only problems are: it's somewhat of a pain to read and navigate the forum on 800x600 because the posts can go over the default window (as does the submit button and last post by section), and where did the signatures go?
Yeah, I have a gripe with that too. It's not like 800x600 is some obsolete resolution of the past. It's still very normal to have a CRT computer monitor, the higher res flat panels have only become standard in the last few years. Mine isn't even 3 years old and it came with a 800x600 tube clunker.

It's not even that big a deal, just scroll over a lil. Everything else about the site is great. GJ Achronos.
