So I think Jun's a master chef, because he takes off his helmet and your like whoa, I think he's a chef.

So to shorten this up, Jun is master chef.

I use Safari and I think is related to that, but I can't change any profile settings. Where there should be a link to it, it's just generic text.

"It's not who I am underneath, but what I do that defines me."

*When i sign in, my avatar doesn't show up, but the main (webmaster) one does.

*When i use IE, all of the links (including the navigation bar) are underlined when hover over, however, in Firefox, the ones in the Navigation bar aren't underlined when hovered over.

*Also, in IE, the post count for characters remaining doesn't work for me.

*Using Firefox, I only see the top half of the arrows (going from one page to another), but when using IE, they're fine.

*I can't refresh a page. An error pops up saying "This page cannot be refreshed without resending the information, press Retry to resend the information, or Cancel and go back to the previous page." When I click Cancel, it just loads a blank page, but when i press Retry, it refreshes, but it's still annoying.

Not really a bug, but annoying. If I want to go into a thread that I saved, I have to go up the page, into my file, click on "Saved Threads" then choose a thread. It jsut seems like quite a hassle.

Oh I miss the top Nav. bar

SB-117

Mostly aesthetic problems here

The "Unleash Ninjas" ban box is a bit... messed up. I'm sure people will realise this too once groups are back online. Not sure if another mod has posted this problem, but I haven't had time to read through this thread yet.

Also, I noticed that the orange highlight image that appears when you roll over "Wallpapers" (in the Halo 3 section), doesn't work for when you roll over "Screenshots".

Umm... Poll bars overlay the signature box too.

The Red vs Blue link under "External Links" takes me back to the B.net home page. (Sorry if this has already been mentioned).

Yeah, I was about to post that but you beat me to it. I checked it's properties and the url is bungie.net!

Bring your A game.

I don't know if this has been reported, but when I look at my stats and mouse over my avatar to see my medals and implement of destruction, the little window appears waaaay below my cursor, actually off screen if my avatar is in the middle of the screen. And my Friends Online List is very hard to read because if they are playing a game with a long title (or are in the Xbox 360 Dashboard) it splits the line up into two parts, making it awkward. I don't know if this is my computer, but when I use the scroll on my laptop, it's very choppy.

But overall, I love the site! Great job Bungie!

If this has been mentioned, I am sorry. But for those with auto login on their browsers, some might be re-directed to an error message from login live. It never allows you to log out and log in on the new site because the redirect is before the homepage can load. I was just having this problem and it took me about an hour to figure it out. Hopefully we can prevent that from happening to others and fix this problem.

Yeah, you have to go to Internet Options, Security Tab, and uncheck the Protected mode box. It is obviously something in the site. It is the first time it has ever been an issue and it works fine with every site on the web including those with passport auto sign ins, which is the error it generates.

It might be because you havent cached all the images yet. Or maybe its a Microsoft conspiracy to make Mac users not want to use Safari, which I have already done.

It's slow on my Mac, too. Safari and Firefox. Especially the damned drop-down menus... There's a .5-1 second delay before they pop up (perfect for intercepting mouse-clicks and redirecting you) and the selection bar (orange) is slow to catch up to the cursor.

weird bug i experienced on SBC Yahoo browser

when my session runs out and it does the aut-login again, it says

Unable to find page please try again

the thing Ihave to do is just find the cookies and delete them and go back to b.net

When I joined the core we didn't have any fancy shmancy tanks. We had sticks, two sticks and a rock for a whole platoon. And we had to share the rock. Buck up boy. You're one vary lucky marine.

Bug: in Internet Explorer I clicked on "Personal Information" in "Profile Customizaition" and the browser stopped responding. I had to close and reopen the browser.

Bring your A game.

I am also getting the Windows Live Logo and Page Not Found error message. But after a try or two, it works.

  • 03.21.2007 9:56 AM PDT

i receive the following message when accessing any page on bungie.net (including homepage) using firefox 2.0 on Win XP:

The page is unavailable or no longer exists

The page you're trying to find is either temporarily unavailable or no longer exists.

Please do one of the following:

* Click your browser's Refresh button to try reconnecting to the page.
* Check the spelling of the web address in your browser's address bar.
* Click your browser's Back button to go back to the previous page.

=========
also, looking at the location bar, it appears that a redirect is taking place:

https://login.live.com/Default.aspx?f=255&MSPPError=-2147 217382

i've cleared cache and restarted the browser but get the same result.

I have a problem with the site running extremely slow when I am using Firefox. It takes minutes for a thread to download. I can switch over to IE and read through the entire thread before the page has finished downloading in Firefox.

is the cache same as the cookies folder? If not ( I am not familiar with FF 2.0) then go to cookies and put them in descending order (alphabetical going down) and I believe bungie.net should have two cookies, delete them both and then try again. If it doesn't work then I'm sorry

  • 03.21.2007 10:50 AM PDT

Deal with it.

I don't know if this really qualifies as a bug, but the Bungie History (starting at page 8), doesn't work. Kind of annoying.

i get the same thing using firefox on a mac. at first i thought it might be a windows live id session expiring or something, but after reading over most of the bugs it seems like the site was made with ie7 in mind. i bet the whole site works flawlessly in vista.

the navbar dropdowns are slow for me too, notably so on my old pc running ie7 on xp. the site uses a ton of javascript so i bet if i had a few more processors and a couple more gigs of ram then I wouldnt even notice how complicated the menu is. maybe some huge aftermarket fans and I'd probably need some lights on the side of my machine just to make it look faster and i'd have no problem looking at a new and improved dropdown menu.

On a PSP's Internet Explorer you can only see the background. Not that that should be a problem, but yeah... stupid PSP's.

"I have no words that would do justice to the atrocities you commit to the English language, as well as your continued assaults on the concepts of basic literacy and logical reasoning."

The site was made with IE 7 and Firefox 2 in mind. There are several issues with IE6 that we're trying to fix, anything below IE6 is not supported (Firefox 1.5 should work also). Safari also has a few bugs, but we're looking into those.

The Windows Live ID error has is a recurring problem that happens when your browser's login cookies expire. Clear cache and cookies, restart your browser, and it should go away. You can prevent it from occurring if you turn off the save your password option and remember to close your web browser at the end of your session. I'm working on the problem.

As for the client side script - the menu itself is not that complicated (certainly less so than the previous design). But we do use more client side script and require your browser to do more work with layout. This means if your computer is teetering on the edge of being below recommended requirements (say, you're trying to run XP in 256 megs of RAM), you'll have problems.
