The topic name pretty much explains it. How long do you think the mod and mapping community will last for Halo CE after Halo 2 vistas release?

You're pretty liberal with that poll button today lol. Have you watched a video clip with Hillary Clinton in it recently? But anyway, I agree with Maple Coil, that is an excellent question. Very hard to tell. A lot rides on Halo 2 Vista's map editor. If it's as decent as it sounds, I think Halo CE will die at an excellerated pace.

Cheers.

I'd say a few months to a little less than a year. Seeing as how not everyone will be able to get Halo 2 Vista right from the get go. But as has been said previously, if the H2V map editor is all it's cracked up to be, then get ready to see a lot of good modders and mappers make the switch.

Get Marathon Here
Get Marathon 2 and Infinity Here

It will die as fast as Halo2Vista catches on, so it will likely be dead inside a year, but not sooner than 8 months.

I really don't like it when people have to fill every single slot when they decide to make polls. It's quite agitating to see something more than a simple "Yes," "No," or "Maybe."

But this poll isn't really a yes or no question. It all depends on how popular Halo 2 Vista becomes, I suppose.

The Halo Maps Website http://www.halomaps.org
The Halo Movies Website http://www.halomovies.org
The Halo CE Chronicles http://hcec.halomaps.org

For as long as the Halo Maps website will host them. But I suspect that you mean new maps. It will drop off but there will be die hards who continue to make them. The nature of video games is they peak then die out slowly over a long period of time. People are still making maps for the original Doom game.

And the original Command and Conquer, too. :)

if history repeats itself, many people will be mad about Halo 2's quality and still play halo 1 alot. But then again, this is pc, not xbox.

Maw

My opinion is that people will go mad over H2V and run around yelling about how great it is; leaving those who can't afford H2V with reduced activity on the multiplayer, and it will slowly and silently vanish away, until someone discovers this "Awesome game."

Their was a time when this was under a post. Simpler times; no Halo 3 Forum and no search. Simpler times. Happy about search though.
