i liked the old forum names too. I find it strange that even on the new site I still cant post my own topics(which if someone can help me with that'd be awesome) i also dont like having to scroll sideways to read posts because of the avatar box. I think I liked the old site better.

Im startin to miss the septagon... all the people. The septagon was a cool place to hang out, i liked the fact that it was slightly inactive. now their is just to many people. Its harder to have mature conversations

Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

I haven'tspent enough time on this new one to be able to confirm my opinions on it, and that won't be until the groups are up and running again (please PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEA... you get the idea, please have a PM all members of group feature!). But at tyhe moment, aesthetically this one is better, but practically, it's gotta be Teh Old Secksiness, cos sigs were actually visible then, and because I haven't worked out how this new site works.

t3h new hawtness is pretty cool. I miss having "my bookmarks, my profile, etc..." always at the top of the screen. Anyone know when the groups will be ready?

PS: (bungie) make it so I can indent, people think my grammer's bad.

WTF do people always put the IDK option in there for. That always ruins polls. Seriously after reading this, remember it when you make a poll. Yes or No. Done. Whenever I see that it always pisses me off to no end.

Then we wouldn't know how many people are undecided. duh. If it wasn't there then people who were undecided wouldn't vote or just make some rondom vote.

I think that the new site will be better, we just aren't used to it yet. Also, it won't let me sign in on my normal desktop user thing. I have to go in under guest. If I try to go in under my normal thing it says the Windows live page isn't avaliable when I type in Bungie.net in the url line.

I am surprised that no one has really mentioned the revisions to polls.

I've noticed a couple of changes.

* Subject line:
The subject line that displays in the forum listing is not the thread's subject line, but the poll question. An improvement IMO. I reduces the "bait & switch" tactics that some folks used, and will help people to ignore those threads where someone has created a nonsensical poll question.
* Vote Count:
Also displays in the forum listing. Another improvement if you ask me. It will stop a lot (hopefully all) of the OP edits to threads that shout "Now with 300 votes!"

There are other changes, but those are the two that I really noticed. Personally, I like them a lot.

I dont like the subject line though. Why not just use the actual subject text box? Why is it even there?

I personally like the use of the poll question as the subject line.

It prevents someone from making a thread entitled "What do you really think about cheating?" and then have the poll be "do you like pie?" With it this way, if the poll question is lame, the thread gets little traffic and is off of the page quickly.

Good point. =]

However... that takes away the purpose of the actual subject line... lol. You guys should just take it out.

I also like the way polls are now done.

I think that the new site is awesome, and is good for promotion issues. However, for all you hardcore Bnet users out there, I think the old site was better. It had that addictive/cool social feeling that this site lacks. Your thoughts in contrast of the two...

that is extremely true

There wasnt a whole lot wrong with it besides, I guess, that it required a lot of feed and code or something. Overall, they just wanted a new look.

New site owns old site. By Far.

It's easier to navigate and i like the mood the colors give. Looks sophisticated and fun at the same time.

I do think this site lacks that homey feel, but that may just be because its new.
I do, however, dislike this new forum look. The person's avatar takes up too much room and doesn't seem as isolated as previously; both of which I prefer.

Well Bungie, I must say I'm impressed. As much as I like the new one, there are still some problems (for me anyhow).

As most members feel, it's going to take some time to get officially used to it. I feel, lost with this new "hawtness".

I haven't been active for a while, due to some family things, but when I come back to see New Hawtness, I was like, "Oops, wrong website."

Im not sure what you are talking about with the avatar... they are pretty much the same size.

2B || !2B - Why don't you look Inside the Machine?

I like the new site because it isn't a strain on my eyes to read everything. The old Hawtness was a great site, however when reading topics (especially at night) my eyes would begin to haze. With the Newest Hawtness everything is fresh and clean cut, concise to say the least. I don't find myself straining to read the hazy blue text in the threads. However I did notice that the text in the Weekly Updates, being all white, is a little hard to read after a while.

Its ironic because while I was reading that my eyes were hazy. lol
