If you want to be a part of one of the greatest and most active communities in the seventh column, come here. You will thank me later.

What was it about those old old chapters that made them so great??

They had a purpose.

News? Podcasts? Machinima? Active forums? Competitions? Jaffa Cakes!? OMG!
Thee Warriors!

Best. Mod. Ever.

Just that feeling.
Though I love Chapters these days they lack the community tight knit bonds that used to be held. Like a village compared to a city. Hard to explain... Now they are more like media spotlights.

"May Warriors Fortunes Smile on our Efforts" Thrawn

"I dare do all that may become a man; Who dares do more is none."
Macbeth

"Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty." John Basil Barnhill

Chapters had tons of features that just seemed to work. There were databases, it was 1 tool that could be used in many many ways. Some people organized the whole seventh coulmn in a single database. There were Alot more themes to chose from, even an activity bar. You had an option of what to place on your front page rather than 1 set way that groups offer. There was no standard look for chapters. The sidebars where all yours. You could put a poll up on the main page of your group, as well as display the 6 most recent forum posts. For databases, you could set who you wanted to see them and who you didn't very easily. Plus bungie was involved with the old Seventh column. When groups came along, they sort of just left us alone with them. I had the greatest time in chapters. Met alot of cool people. Don't get me wrong groups are cool too. But they didn't match up too what i knew previously. That to me is why Chapters are greater than groups.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

Once chapters re-open I am going to start one so well put together that it will make babies cry. I have been planning on things for about 3 months now. I also notice that chapters are so important to some members that people actually capitalize the word "Chapter". lol

An7iher0sk8er did it twice and even typed "Seventh Column" in small letters. :P

Chapters deserve the added attention.

Chapters are very special to many people because they mean something dear to them. A-lot of us have good friends in Chapters and we like to chat with them in the Chapters. The reason why we do this rather than on AIM or in the Main Forums is for two reasons: Freedom, and Customization. You have the Freedom to run your Chapter however you want. Customization comes by what you do in your Chapter to make it a fun place to chat.
