What's the chance of a ping time being replaced by a connection bar that remains green despite being 200ms+, like on Live? Oh, I don't want to think! ;)I was just thinking about something.
Will Live Anywhere have the same broadband requirement as Xbox Live has?
Hopefully not. Even with broadband, as you see on Xbox Live, people deal with (occasional) extreme bouts of lag anyhow. It will upset all the PC gamers who don't have high-speed connections. I mean, we've learned how to deal with latency, but if we don't get a chance to go online in the first place, that would be pretty absurd. Perhaps, in time, we'll see absolute latency-free environments online as technology progresses. But for now, I think Live Anywhere will be better off if the minimum requirements for Live don't need a broadband connection.
Of course, this doesn't primarily concern myself. But it might not bode well for Microsoft.
