Carrots.

Note that this thread is all about what I think about the new hawt/hotness B.net. These are my personal opinions and you can look at them any way you want, but if you bash my opinion, I probably won't have time to care, so Screw You to everyone who tries.

Anyway, let me express some things:

First of all, the new hotness does make a few things better, and a few things worse. The feature I really think made bungie a whole lot different from the other forums out there was the displays that used to scroll with you where you'd go. On the top, it would desplay your information and tabs, and on the bottom, it would focus on bungie stuff like forums. I'm sort of dissapointed to see those go, since you could access pretty much anything on the fly wherever you where on the site, wh ich was truly unique. HOWEVER, it did have some issues like saying you had new messages when you didn't and stuff like that. Now they've replaced it with a standard on the top menu seen in every forum, which is nice, too, but some of the things I think are weird are:

-When you hover over a tab with your mouse, a transpearent box comes up with links to things on the site in it. Why is this box even transpearent? It's not opace enaugh to really see anything through it, at least not anything important.

-43,149 players online in Halo 2? Who really needs to know that? It's not like you're going to be going up agaisn't that many people in the first place. And besides, if your looking for a fun game and you go into matchmaking, the number of players really isn't going to make a difference while playing. Maybe you'll find a match quicker, but I find how long it even takes to get a match doesn't really change all that much.
Also, in a couple of days, looking at how many players are playing will result in you probably coming to some conclusions such as:
-Less players will be playing in the daytime because of work and school.
-More players will be playing from 3:00-4:00 PM and from 7:00-8:00 PM.
-Less players will be playing on weekday nights because of school and work.
-Friday will have more players playing at nighttime.
-Saturday from 10:00AM to around 3:00 AM sunday morning will be full of players
-Sunday will have the same amount as activity as a weekday with added players during the daytime.

The search feature remains still one of the less used but more usefull features of the site

As most of you know, the forum is still powered by Ideal Science so most of the interfaces will be the same, but I just want to talk about the appearences in the forums and postage.

Honestly, I liked the old website alot better then this new one, but this one still has some more interesting things then the old one.
Brand new artwork at the top of each forum. Yeah, it's just new art, but I still appreciate it. Posting itself has been more simplified, and it still has pretty much the same features as the old site. However, the some of the icons I liked are gone.

SIGNATURES. I hated signatures so much. Now you don't have to see em' anymore. Signatures where becoming so generic in the flood forum, and everywhere else too.

Examples of signature FAILURES:
__% of teens these days listen to/do/smoke____, if your one of the __% that don't, copy and paste this into your signature.

( - -)
<(>) This is bunny. Copy and paste him into your signature to help him r00l de worldz.

And an example of people miss-using the signatures are people who, instead of putting things in their signature put them at the end of their post, such as:
-Bee.
-Shoots arrow
-Reloads
-Hugs.
*krys*

I find some of the forums to be abit messy, but that's just me.

Opinionz plz?
