For those who still don't understand why H2V is only for Vista, tech specs aside, think about it from a business/economic standpoint:
Microsoft releases this nice, new, operating system, and want people to buy it.They then create this nice new LIVE gaming system to run in tandem with nice new games, such as H2V, exclusively for Vista. What it comes down to is: they want money. Anyone who says money isn't a factor is, quite frankly, out of their mind. By making a game exclusively for a new OS (again tech aside), they are essentially promoting their product and betting on those "die-hard fans," to buy the new OS, if for no other reason than to play the game. If you were in their shoes wouldn't you want to promote the new OS while selling a highly anticipated game that runs exclusively on that OS at the same time? Vista has the opportunity to produce much higher sales than Halo 2 Vista can ever hope to. By selling H2V exclusively for Microsoft's new flagship OS, Vista, they're pretty much inflating their profits higher than if Halo 2 were to be released on other OS's (btw, for those who aren't tech savvy, OS = operating system).
After all, money does makes the world go 'round.
Cheers.
