You bumped a thread up from the depths of hell just to say that -blam!-? Go. Now. Besides, you were calling a respected member of this forum and idiot, because you didn't want to make yourself look more retarded than you already are. Nice going, bucko!

I mispelled that swear word so that it wouldn't turn out as blam! ok! that's why i did it, and that guy had to comment on that small detail which i don't think is very respected for what this thread is about.

The easiest way to kill all Covenant.

1. Put a sign on a door that says. Forerunner Artifacts here.
2. Watch them pile in.
3. Blow it to pieces.
4. Repeat!

All MGS games run on a Direct3D powered graphics engine, and Mac uses OpenGL as graphics API. Thus there will be little chance any MGS game will ever be ported to the Mac platform.

Halo 2 is a great game and deserves a great OS. Windows Vista just can't compare to OSX. You guys kow what I'm talking about. Vista is falling apart so Halo 2 should be moved to Mac. Maybe they could rename the game "Halo 2 OSX". That would be cool. Don't you agree?

-Mac Guy :-)

[/smug]

Hurling thinly disguised insults toward the very people you're trying to win over to your point of view is no way to gain any supporters.

Addressed to PC gamers:
You and I, as fellow gamers, are one (setting aside the OS and hardware differences). What, therefore, do you have to lose or gain if I (a Mac gamer) share in your fun (in the form of Halo 2)? You stand nothing to lose, that's for sure. You stand to gain a number (small, it must be said) of new people to play with.

However, the question is not what you or I stand to lose or gain. It's what Microsoft stands to lose. Microsoft, if it ported Halo 2 to Macs, stands to lose prospective customers, not only for H2V, but for Vista.

Vista.

We all know Microsoft is predominantly a software company, and most of the world's computers happen to utilize their OS and software. My thesis here is that if Halo 2 Mac cut into profits of Vista, however a small cut it may be, Microsoft will have none of it.

You're right, Halo 2 should be available for the Mac users too, but you're supporting it for all the wrong reasons.

As a Mac gamer, I too think Halo 2 should be ported to the Mac, at least for old times' sake (Bungie's Marathon- the definitive Mac shooter). But we all know who Bungie is owned by.

Will Halo 2 Mac happen, however? No. It's wishful thinking on my part, and on the part of many Mac gamers.

It's wishful thinking that I've given up long ago.

When you come right down to it, it's just a game. Just a game. Sure, it's Halo 2, but it's a game.

Furthermore, Bungie owed Mac and PC gamers Halo. Halo was originally (in one of its many conceptions) intended to be a first person shooter for the Mac/PC platforms, as Marathon had been before it. Microsoft, however, liked what Bungie showed at the MacWorld Expo ('98, I believe) and bought up Bungie, turning Halo into the seller of the Xbox that we know and love today. Bungie felt some obligation towards its Mac/PC fans, who felt left in the lurch by the sudden buyout. Bungie brought us a port, not without its flaws, but well worth the wait. And now Bungie brings PC gamers another (hopefully successful) port.

What is different this time around, however, is that Microsoft is selling an OS. When Halo Mac/PC was released, XP was king, and it was going to stay that way. Now, however, Microsoft has wares, in the form of Vista, to sell, and H2V will help those sales.
You know, I understand what you say, and you are the only person who makes me reason and love Mac users. However, Bungie doesn't give a damn lick about us PC/Mac players. The port was made by Gearbox if you remember. And I doubt Halo 2 Vista will get to Mac, because it's M$'s "marketing chance" for Vista. I'm sorry.

Static knows way more than you or even I. So, just because your noobiness is blocking your capabilities to think, doesn't mean you should respond to every single thing. Like this, I bet money you will bump this up to say some retarded comeback.

95% of the people here who say people who use Macs deserve to die and Macs suck have never, ever used a Mac. My XBox 360 can barly handle ra movie. Microsoftmakes these "better versions" of XBox, and Windows. You can still get spyware on a pc by visiting a sight, Macs have very few viruses, and not many actaully get them.

Everytime I run Halo on windows for like 12+ minutes, it quits. Even with custom edition, it'll quit for no reason.

Halo on a Mac. Almost as good as the XBox ( not 360 ).

Microsoft makes you think it's better, half of the stuff on vista was orginally on a Mac. XBox 360 is a perfect example. It can barley run a 1 hr movie, my Mac can run a movie without crashing. halo on Xbox 360 was awful. In XBC, Halo was just awful on Xbox 360 - An example of MIcrosoft.

Now, I'll probally get flamed and threatening messages.

I'm there but, man this is really starting to sound like communism.
Long live the MAW.

lets start, shall we?

'95% of the people here who say people who use Macs deserve to die and Macs suck have never, ever used a Mac. My XBox 360 can barly handle ra movie. Also 98% of those people of that 95% know the cold hard facts behind why a Mac computer right now is not better than a PC. This includes features like customization (I want a new Graphics card, woops, I better go buy a whole new computer), or support for playing video games.
Yes, you can get spyware on a PC by visiting a site. Guess what, around 98.9323% of spyware is the user's own fault. For one, not having a firewall. Or visiting sites that your not susposed to be on anyway.

everytime I run Halo on windows for like 12+ minutes, it quits. Even with custom edition, it'll quit for no reason.

I susgest getting an upgrade from 126 RAM before attempting to play Halo PC.
This I "lol'd" at -> 'Halo on a Mac almost as good as the Xbox' If you play Halo on either a Mac, or a PC, it will still contain the same game files . I'm not sure if I mis-intreputed this, but as long as they both run the same FPS, and they're graphics are high; neither will look better.

'Microsoft makes you think it's better, half of the stuff on vista was orginally on a Mac. XBox 360 is a perfect example. It can barley run a 1 hr movie, my Mac can run a movie without crashing. halo on Xbox 360 was awful. In XBC, Halo was just awful on Xbox 360 - An example of MIcrosoft.'

On my PC I can; Watch all the episodes of Band of Brothers, be making another model for Hardwar on 3ds Max (trial for now), play minesweeper, and be running a virus/spyware scan at the same time without it crashing. Vista, is new. Vista has problems. But Vista is the new OS for windows. I see no reason why people complain about Vista, because for me it is running fine and dandy.

Now, I'll probally get flamed and threatening messages.

perhaps if you stopped pulling half of this stuff out of your ass, (ok, more than 9/10s of the stuff) then people wouldn't.

Now, for the last time; Let this thread die out.

No one cares about your preference. Just like no one wants to hear who you think is better between the consoles. And if you do offer your opinion, make sure you give some facts to back it up. Don't just make a retarded statement, and leave it at that.
