On may 8th we shall witness the second coming of the master chief to pc and it will provide us with what we have all been waiting for. Almost 3 years after "REAL COMPETITION" ended Finally on May 8th I will commit the Ultimate Act of blastphemy and BREAK my halo PC disk. Thats right break it and sweep it into the trash. Ide love to thank bungie for consuming 6 years of my life with this title. You have in effect have helped me earn several thousand dollars playing this game over the years and caused me to struggle in my school studies. To me a fun game means that you have a midterm test at 8 am and you are still playing halo until 7 oclock. What i will miss the most is the "REPLAY" factor that H1 xbox and h1pc had, this is you could play a level over and over again until your had to stop due to your eyes bleeding. Gone are the days of Cal_assault and the many memories it brang. Gone are the days of noobs playing RACE on infinity with all shotguns. that I will not miss. And for all you people who debate on what makes a game dead. Well my argument is the lack of money and tournaments, Well I assure you after May 8th Bungie will no longer support this god Forsaken game, A game that was Perfect and game that needed no tweeking, A game one could argue could have put counter strike out of its misery. Yet Bungie Made one mistake and letting GEARBOX otherwise known in the halo community as "GEARBOTCH" port this game. Still with the warping and the netcoding, die hard halo pc fans stuck to their mouse and keyboards for so many years.... So with this we look forward to the future., This future has a date, and many of us have a date with destiny, Its a little something called h2v, I dream of master chiefs doing b attle, night in and night out and again, Hopes of struggle in school studies ensue. No more standbye tricks, being paired up with dumb and dumber, Real halo pc action, halo 2 style.

So say goodbye to halopc My friends and embrace h2v it is the future of halo, Do not live in the past, embrace the future, understand it, play it, make the game its best. Leave your aimbots behind, Join the competitive community, Leave your peskee banshee on death island, Leave your Race gametypes on infinity alone, step forward and be a man, It takes a real man not to play inifinity all shotguns.. Drop your plasma pistol for a sword and join me in celebrating the Death of Halo pc. Never again will I hear the name gearbox of have to speek it. Never again will people be able to use Print screen to help them cap. Gone are the days of old as we usher in the new.. WIll you join me? in this celebration.. I sure hope so... See you in 6 weeks. Break your disk with me.... Will you?? for the sake of h2v?

Have you noticed that You and Nessy are the only ones who seem to care about competitive gaming? Please break your disc now, as I'm sure no one will miss you.

How about HELL -blam!- NO!

Halo PC was the best game I've ever played and the game that took the most skill out of any I've EVER played. Halo PC will forever be my favorite game and I'll be DAMNED, if I EVER snap my disk.

I'll never forget the hours of enjoyment that this game brought me, even with the countless problems with it. I'll never forget.

You go right ahead and snap it.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Holy CRAP I found this arrogant and insulting. I've broken my HPC disc twice for personal reasons, and I'm on my third. I'm not going to stop playing it when H2V comes out, either. So while you presume HPC dead, I'll continue to enjoy it with my friends.

who says you have to be an ace to have fun?

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

Will you please snap your disc now instead of waiting for the 8th?

Thanks.

I won't consider HPC dead until I see only 10 servers and 100 people online. Sorry, but competitive gaming is no basis to determine if a game is "dead"

I thought I would of sent my Halo PC disc to the trash, or hidden under a bunch of junk on my desk when Halo 2 Xbox was released. Well Halo 2 Xbox lasted about 3 months for me, before I went back to play Halo PC. Competitive or not, the game is still fun for me. I find myself playing it hours on end with friends, online and/or real life. I won't be breaking my Halo PC disc. Buggy as it may be, it still holds value.
Plus who's to say Halo 2 Vista won't bore the hell out of me? I'll pick it up still, even knowing how Halo 2 Xbox went. Granted the game was made so anyone with any amount of skill could pick up a control and win. Almost every battle ending with whoever shot who first wins (unlike Halo 1 where the battle wasn't won until your opponent fell to the ground dead). But I will welcome back the teams of old CAL Halo, the days of online competition. The same ones I got to meet in Dallas at CPL summer '04. Great times and memories, and now with Halo 2 Vista coming, I hope to have more of those days of old to come.

I am pretty sure your flaming every post would be missed even less.

Yeah, Rooo is one of these strange people that thinks because something is new, it is better. I think he is still sulking over his recent defeat.

Oh well goodbye.

Nah I think a 12 year old would say something along the lines of "My dad could beat up your dad" ;).. actually yeah I kinda did self own myself didn't I.
Anyways.... no need to waste your time banning me I won't be visiting these forums anymore.. except maybe for the occasional laugh.
Nessy and Moby, I must thank you for some memorable quotes. "You can't use flamethrowers because cops don't use them" will stick in my mind for a long time.

Breaking my disc would have no impact on my ability to play the game. ;)

Besides, it's the best game I've ever owned simply for the amount of time I've stuck to playing it online.

WTF DO COPS HAVE TO DO WITH HALO!?

Anything else?

Snap according to webster is to break suddenly : break short or in two, How many of you will join me in this great day of Jubilee?!??!?!?!?!?!? Flamethrowers arent heavies in the sense of rockets and fuel rod gun, and you said "Cops dont carry them in their back pockets" well cops dont carry snipers either, they are standard issue 9mm, unless your referring to SWAT officers, then again What do cops have anything to do with halo you tard.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When Halo 2 Vista only has 500-1000 players playing nightly compared to Halo PCs 2200+ nightly, we'll see how the game is "dead".
