* Group chat system
I do not think this is a great idea. Even in the most heavily populated groups, this feature would be underutilized and would probably not be worth the implementation effort. Just take a look at even the most active groups - sometimes even the most interesting forum posts do not receive responses for hours. In groups, the forums should serve as an adequate method of communication. Not only that, the forums leave a record and a trail of what's been happening in the group. That makes it easier for the admins to ensure that groups are complying with the b.net terms of use.
* Search feature for group forums
Yes.
* The ability to PM all members
Yes.
* Group member online / offline
I do not see much purpose in this except maybe for Clans (as opposed to Chapters).
* The ability to PM all non-members that are in queue
How long is the queue for your group that you can't just PM individually?
* Group avatars (This would show in the same area your signature shows as a second avatar)
No!
* Post counters for group forums
Maybe. I am not a member, nor would I be, of any group that would actually care how many posts you've made. But this idea might have merit to people who create free-for-all or spam-encouraging groups.
* The ability to assign colored text to security roles.
I've supported this idea in the past when others posted it, but have since read convincing arguments for and against it. I see reasons why responsible group administrators might be able to put this feature to good use, but there are also clear and convincing reasons that this feature should not be in place for some other group administrators. Personally, I think that many group administrators would want this idea only for "elitist" purposes. And you can bet that 99.9% of group administrators would make their own text "Achronos Gold." As a result, I'm kind of indifferent and would have absolutely no problem in keeping the status quo of having all group members type in the same color text.
* Theme-builder, with a 'drag-n-drop' system.
I'm not terribly excited about the horrifyingly gaudy and tacky themes that might be created. This is admittedly a personal preference, but I do not like groups because of the colors and the themes but rather because of the content and the people who are members of my groups. I think that theme builders would simply encourage more pointless groups because every single person would want their own group with a customized theme. Groups are hard enough to search through as it is. A theme builder could easily make it worse.
* (My idea) Better and More Customizable Database Features
This idea is, I concede, driven by my involvement in a group that concentrates less on discussion/forum posting and more on information and resource archiving. But I think that customizable databases would make such features MUCH easier to navigate and manage.
